Illini Community Hospital

We waited four hours for a doctor to come see us tonight at the hospital. When he finally came back he was completely rude to my mother and step mother. When my mother called later to ask where her partner was being transported to they told her the wrong city and we drove to the city they told us, only to find out she was actually five hours away in the complete opposite direction we went. The staff was horrible to my moms the whole night. Completely disrespectful and did not act like they cared what happens to my stepmom.

The emergency room staff is horrible. You will wait all day to get helped even if you’re the only one in there. My bipolar aunt was in there to get help and we could hear the nurses making fun of her right outside her door (they left it halfway open). They used sayings like “Well it’s a full moon so of course we have to have our crazy psych patient”. The doctor even accused her of being a drug addict when in fact she was just mentally ill and going through a manic stage. I respect qmg but not the Pittsfield residence. If I ever need any medical help I will be driving the extra 30 minutes to Quincy where the staff is more respectable and professional. I am truly ashamed and embarrassed for all of the staff that was on duty and I do not recommend anyone go to this facility
