If you are expecting a baby do yourself a favor and don't go to this hospital. If you're from out of town just keep driving to the next hospital. The staff was rude from the moment we checked into the er until we left. Maybe we weren't white enough. If you're not white KEEP DRIVING to a more diverse area because you will not be welcome here. If you enjoy giving birth with no epidural (even when you ask for one and are lied to when they say you are too dilated at 6cm) then when its time to push have 4 people stand at the foot of your bed watching while offering no instruction then this is the place for you!! If you like knowing if/when to push, if the baby's head is crowning, or even help holding your leg up while in excruciating pain then keep driving. If you believe you might need assistance after birth like getting out of bed for the bathroom, getting something to drink, or questions about giant blood clots in the toilet without someone being rude to you keep driving. If you're afraid to ask for help because you're afraid of how the staff will react then only go to this maternity ward if you enjoy feeling that way. I've never had such a horrible experience. I would have been better off giving birth in a corn field alone. I wouldn't recommend this maternity ward to my worst enemy and I only say that because I've had a baby at another hospital where I had the complete opposite experience so I know nothing about this "visit" was standard. This staff should evaluate their reasons for going into healthcare in the first place. If you need to choose between birthing at home or going to this hospital....stay at home!
