I'm 19 weeks pregnant with my first and as exciting as it is, I'm also very new to all of this. The staff from the reception area to the doctors with Hackensack Meridian Jersey Shore University Medical have always been kind and very helpful. I appreciate their good attitudes and knowledge. Thank you!

My recent experience at Jersey Shore Medical Center was excellent. I ended up giving birth to my son one month early via emergency C-section. From the time I entered the emergency room to then being admitted to the maternity ward, the professionalism of the staff was top notch. The nurses were always there to help me throughout my four-day recovery. Our baby was in the NICU for seven days and I cannot say enough positive things about the nurses who took care of him. They were patient and informative, and I knew our preemie was safe and in good hands. Specifically, Marilyn, Hannah and Brianna were amazing. I highly recommend this hospital if you are planning to give birth. They are the reason our baby is doing so well today.

After receiving a heart stent, I had the opportunity to take 36 sessions of Cardiac Rehab. From the 1st session I realized that I had to make some life changes if I wanted to avoid serious health issues later on. The Nursing staff was extremely helpful, watching over my progress and ensuring that I adhered to the performance range outline by my Doctor. Since my completion of the 26 sessions, I have continued to exercise and work on losing more weight. The experience at the Cardiac Rehab facility , for me, was a life changer! My thanks to everyone involved in the program! Peter Wilson

This hospital is well run and well organized. It has a professional, polite, knowledgeable and courteous staff and medical team. The Modern facilities and delicious food made for a very pleasant 3day hospital stay.

Our daughter was recently hospitalized in the trauma unit. Her emergency surgery went well and the nursing staff were supportive. I was appalled at the level of cleanliness on the ward. We observed a cleaning crew come thru twice in the 8 days she was hospitalized. Several stains on the floor were there for 3-4 days. I ended up dumping the trash that accumulated in the room quite a few times. The social worker assigned to my daughter totally dropped the ball on her rehab transfer resulting in her staying 4 more days in the hospital than necessary. Time she could have spent in rehab recovering. Of the 3 roommates that she had during her stay, only 1 appeared to us as trauma. The majority of the trauma unit was elderly. I guess part of trauma triage is age? I have read some of the reviews posted here and am glad the majority had a favorable experience. But, for us, it was not.
