Archbold has gotten a little better from admittance time to the ER, to discharge time. But, you are still mostly guaranteed an 8 hour visit when you come to the ER. When you come in you are triaged then sent back to the waiting room to wait for a room to open. The reason there are no rooms open is because of the 8 hour treatment window. People seem to come to the ER for broken finger and toe nails ! First thing they are going to do is give you fluids even if you don’t need them. Then they will take blood from you to test the blood samples which take 90 minutes to get the results. Then it takes another 90 minutes for the doctor or the nurse to come and give you the results of your tests Archbold will not admit you to the hospital! Even if you should be admitted, they are set against admitting anyone! I have started going to the ER in Tallahassee instead because you get treated quicker and your in and out of the ER in 3 hours max!

So many wasted trips to the ER here. Yes you’ll be sitting in the waiting room for many hours waiting to be seen but that’s the least of their problems. I’ve been rudely told by staff to control my autistic child bc he was being too loud for them yet none of the patients in the ER minded. The others were just as shocked as we were to see the way they treated us. They’ve also misdiagnosed our children multiple times when we brought them in later finding out after going to a different ER that our child had a serious illness. We’ve dealt with many rude doctors and nurses. And some very careless doctors and nurses as well. I could go on and on. The staff is very aware with every issue we’ve had with them yet nothing changes. I would highly recommend going to any other ER besides this one.
