Staff friendly and well-informed. Nice surroundings, clean and comfortable.
The ER doctor Lisa was combative, unprofessional, and callous. When I tried to file complaint a long while later because I knew nothing would come of it the representive that is supposed to help with complaints was defending the ER Doctor saying she's no non sense type of person which is no excuse to treat me and my baby as horribly as she did. I was pregnant and the doctor was argumentative about why I thought I was pregnant, refused to give an ultrasound and later a nurse came in to attempt to scan for a heartbeat but I did not here one and neither did she. When I got my "investigation" report back to me it is documented that they did used a fetal Doppler and had found one which fraudulent documentation because I was there I could hear the Doppler and they got no such heartbeat. Then they blamed me saying because of the car accident I just wasnt remembering well enough or was aware of my surroundings. Which i was aware, very aware, of what was being said and done to me. All this is so horrible! I thought filing a complaint would actually change anything all it did was turn into the doctor attacking my cognitive abilities instead of owning up to her poor unnecessarily aggressive behavior toward me.
Also, I ended up having to go to Alturas ER which is where I was staying at the time just to get my baby properly checked.
We absolutely love this hospital staff is amazing.. couldn't have picked a better place to deliver our son at.. And Dr Gallagher is an amazing doctor.
I love love love this hospital! It is super clean and everyone is super nice and very efficient. No reason to complain. I wish more hospitals were like this one.
I came into the Emergency Room on October 6th, 2017 after having flipped my quad. Had severe pain in my ribs, shoulder, and arm. Dr. Smith ordered an X-ray. The X-ray technician wanted me to raise my arms so she could take the scan. I was,in a lot of pain and doing my best to raise my arms. She got impatient, and jerked my arm straight up. Something popped, and immediately my shoulder, after quick burst of excruciating pain, felt better. I realized my shoulder must have been displaced. But no apology, or anything.
After all the scans were back, Dr. Smith said no bones were broken. I asked if he was sure nothing was broke because I could feel cracking and popping in my ribs, and the pain was awful. He assured me it was just "bruising, and that sometimes bruising can feel more painful than a,broken bone." He sent me home.
The next day, the pain was even worse. He didn't order anymore scans, just said I would hurt for a,few days. Dr. Smith and the nurse started talking to me about ANXIETY, and how anxiety can make things, seem worse. He did give me a shot of a,strong pain meds but said "NOTHING WAS BROKEN," so it would be inappropriate to admit me. Again, I was, sent home.
Come Monday, the pain was excrutiating, and I made an appointment with my Doctor. Dr. Graham.
Thank God for Dr. Graham. He ordered another scan with contrast dye, which revealed THREE BROKEN RIBS, AND A FRACTURED SHOULDER BLADE!! The swelling was still to much, but I may also have a,TORN ROTATOR CUFF!
This hospital is a joke, with the exception of my Doctor and a couple others. There are a few nice and caring nurses, but for the most part, they are mean and condescending.
Unless you are able to See Dr.Graham, Dr. Gallagher, or lesa Cahill, STAY AWAY from this hospital!
