The hospital staff the nurses, LPN and, information center was kind. They are taking care of my uncle in room 225. When you ask for assistance they will help you friendly every time. They take out the time to answer all your questions with patients. They made my uncle comfortable. I ask them them for and extra pillows, so my uncle left neck be supported. They gave me a pillow no questions ask and said i was welcome . I ask for some ice personally for myself . I receive ice with a you are welcome. Thanks again Lake Martin Hospital you all are outstanding and generous.

Great little country hospital...they've saved my accident prone husband more than a time or two! The doctors and nurses have all had the best attitudes, and they're always willing to work on ya even when you may not have the cash to cover the entire costs. They've just opened their new sleep study lab, and we're looking forward to taking advantage of that opportunity close to home (and considerably more affordable). We owe this hospital much gratitude, and I'm thankful they're there to service our rural community! ...but the picture with this listing is definitely not Lake Martin Community Hospital.

This is a very small rural hospital, with a very small medical staff and very limited resources. The Doctor who I saw was very informative, thorough and knowledgable. I felt like I was in good hands! I only waited for 2 hours as opposed to the 6+ hours I would have waited at EAMC! That is the shortest wait I have EVER had at ANY emergency room, and I have lived in 3 different states, many cities/towns and I have visited several ER's in my lifetime for various reasons! I felt my wait-time at LMCH was reasonable considering there was only one RN and one Doctor treating 3 different patients and one of those patients had to be life flighted to Birmingham (without hesitation)! Yes...they have a helicopter landing pad for major medical emergencies! Their genuine concern is doing the best they can do for their patients, with the limited resources that they have! I was very impressed and I left feeling better than when I first got there...I mean, after all, that is the reason for going to the ER to begin with, right? The avatar (photo of the hospital) that someone decided to use is "stock" imagery and is not a photograph of the hospital...in fact, it's not a photo at all, it's a drawing! That photo never concerned me! I don't feel the image was used to "lure people in" deceptively! It is just a generic photograph used as an avatar...nothing more, nothing less! I took a photograph of the hospital, that I decided to share, for those who want to see what the hospital looks like! NOTE: There is a pharmacy located in front of the hospital, though I do not recall the name of the pharmacy or the hours of operation?

VERY unhappy. They admitted my husband for an "unknown infection". They released him after 2 days with a "cleared for work". He could barely stand and had to go to the hospital in Opelika within 6 hours of release because he spiked a fever.
