Urgent care is nothing but a waste of money. They always say you get what you pay for. Going to switch insurance carriers next year and maybe then I’ll find someone that isn’t there just for the money but has a real interest for human lives.
Worst experience I have ever had at an ER. Unfortunately the patient was my 6yr old son. What should have been routine stitches for a laceration on his foot, turned into 4 nurses pinning my son down to administer local anesthetic. When he panicked and asked them to let go and give him a minute they just continued, and were more worried about him getting blood on the floor than how upset this 6 yr old was. I walked out with my son, foot still bleeding and no numbing because when I asked the NP if we could give him something to calm him, she told me, “medicine won’t change who your son is.” We left in tears and headed to Mayo in Eau Claire where they offered a topical numbing agent prior to administering the local anesthetic. Thankfully Mayo left my son with a good experience. This isn’t the first bad experience we have had at Marshfield either. My recommendation is Prevea or Mayo if you are in the area. Bedside manner and customer service if much more superior than Marshfield. Marshfield clinic should be your last resort for a place to doctor! Shame on them for such poor service in such an important field.
I have been having issues with having to deal with the either a physician's assistance or a nurse practitioner. In the last 2 years I have only been able to see my family doctor twice! Struggling to get an appointment with an actual doctor until last week. It has been going on for months but I got to see a doctor that I had seen years ago. And I felt so much better walking out that day like somebody actually listen to me and is trying to help. I believe they have too many physician assistants or nurse practitioners and as a patient with diabetes and back issues where I have to be seen often it's sad that I never get to see my actual doctor for these issues.
Terrible experiences in the Emergency dept as well as cardiology. Don't go there. Choose a different medical provider.
Condescending blue haired Er PA has terrible bedside manor. Both wife and I have walked out with our children on separate occasions and drove to eau Claire. This is our last option for care.
