My wife and I came here for the birth of our baby. Our appointments with the OB clinic and the doctors were great! Birth went really well and staff were great, and no issues with billing like I've seen with previous reviews (will update if there are). I would recommend coming here if you are looking for a place to have your baby. We were worried about reviews we read online (not specific to the labor and delivery) so we did our research and figured we would give it a shot. Labor and delivery/OB clinic was great, any other department we cannot speak to, but figured we would give an updated review for soon to be moms. The reason for 4 stars is because of the staff who saw us out (the last impression of the hospital) were ok. I felt really uncomfortable and I was told that they did not like me and were questioning my ability to help my wife once we left.... It's only our third child, I'm an adult, veteran, and mature individual... What makes you think after having two children that I can't help with a third???? Anyways, don't let this last part keep you from going here, everyone else (including the departing staff were good). I just got really offended by that last impression, overall it was a great experience!

I have nothing good whatsoever to say about this hospital, other than it's clean. If you want a clean place to die, go here. If not, I would strongly recommend trying another Austin area hospital. Too many friends of mine die at this hospital---another one just today---and my wife came very close to dying as well: She visited their emergency room three times in five days before they finally decided to do an MRI...only to find out that she had a brain hemorrhage on the day of her first visit. Let me add one other point here regarding my wife. I entered all her symptoms into Google and the damn search engine was better at determining the diagnosis than their ER was. While what my wife had was rare (Subarachnoid hemorrhage), nevertheless I've simply seen and had "way too many bad experiences" with "poor and slow" emergency room diagnoses and processes at this poorly run hospital. Basically, this hospital seems to have an utter inability to act with the necessary medical processes and speed to save lives. Another friend of mine just died at this hospital today. Having just heard what tests they ran and "didn't run," I double-down on blaming this hospital for his death. Yes those are strong words and I'm not a doctor to be clear, just a health advocate. ...They just don't seem to have their act together in life and death situations where every second matters. I strongly recommend that this hospital be utilized only as a last resort if you have absolutely no other option. BTW, this is the first review I've ever posted online. The above is simply an opinion. Take it for what it's worth.

I cannot rate this facility any lower than a 1 star. In January of 2017 I was referred to Baylor Scott & White for physical therapy. The therapist was wonderful but I received a bill for more visits than I actually went to. I tried no less than 10 times to contact the billing department to discuss these charges and no one would ever return my phone call (I left a message each time with details of why I was calling and my contact number). I even called the corporate number hat is on the website trying to get this resolved and pay the correct amount and they told me that they could not help me with my bill and that I would have to speak to the local billing office. Once again I left message after message and no one would return my phone call so my only option was to pay a bill that was not accurate or get turned to collections which they've obviously done. I have excellent credit and have never not paid a bill that I have truly owed. The sad part about it is the physical therapy I received was top-notch but unless there is a life-or-death situation for myself or my family I will never step foot in a Baylor Scott & White office or hospital again.

We had a great experience. My mother came down with appendicitis. She was transferred here from Vik. The team was ready and waiting to take her into surgery. Everyone was nice and attentive. The house seemed clean and in order. The surgery went well. The doctor came out and said everything went fine and she could possibly even go home. After a short time a nurse came out and said she was doing great. About an hour later they said she could go home if she wanted. I picked her up. The 3 nurses that assisted her into the truck were all super nice and away we went. Thank you for taking care of her!!!

I can’t say enough good things about the Endoscopy team here. 1st class all the way. Answered all my questions and always smiled the whole way through my procedure. The facility is very nice as well. Glad to have it in my back yard.
