I had occasion to experience some of the services offered at the Lincoln Medical Center last Saturday. A health event caused me to go to their ER which resulted in an overnight stay in the ICU for treatment and monitoring. My experience there, although unpleasant health wise was moderated by the friendly and professional care provided by the staff. I am confident in the diagnosis and satisfied with the care received. Thanks to all especially Doctors Holladay and Oldham and Nurses Megan, Lindsey, Lori and Colleen!

My 95 year old grandmother arrived at the hospital by ambulance. We were left in the hallway in front of a door that people came in and out of for four and a half hours. I got hit by the bedside table because someone opened the door into it and it hit me. We had no garbage can so dirty stuff that should have been thrown away was being set on her bedside table. And people were being brought into rooms in the ER after we were there. Granted they were crazy busy so I waited before I said anything, but my 95 year old grandmother was left in the hallway for hours. After I found out they were keeping her, I told the nurse we had been waiting patiently for four and a half hours and how soon were we going to get the room. She said they had a critical case and I said I understood but that my grandmother was in the hallway. I was not talking to the doctor when he came by and said they had a critical emergency. I said, “I understand, but” and I didn’t get any more words out. He snapped at me and said well you should understand more. They did have a critical emergency that med flight picked up. But does it take their whole staff for an emergency; 2 doctors, 1 practitioner, and several nurses? And the critical case wasn’t there for four and a half hours? At least I hope not. So don’t expect too much when seeking care here. I would have expected a little more professionalism from a doctor.

The LMC Emergency Room providers and staff took excellent care of my family during a recent trip for stitches. The ER was clean, the staff was friendly, and we were treated in a timely manner.

We had a WONDERFUL experience with LMC ER. My son (10 months) caught a stomach virus he ended up becoming dehydrated and his blood sugar dropped WAY WAY WAY too low.
I had not heard good reviews but I needed to get my son somewhere. When we arrived I told them what was going on, it didn’t take long for them to get us to the back. Once back there they ran some blood work, results back very fast. The NP (Nurse Practitioner) informed us they might be keeping him over night. We did wait a little bit for admitting but it was no problem, I just wanted my baby better. The NP comes back, you can tell she is so tired and her shift ended an hour ago but she wanted to inform me that they were keeping him and she was so happy, she said she got what she wanted and she wasn’t going to leave until they kept him. Once admitted the dr (Dr. Spears) showed up (after midnight) told me his course of action and what we were looking at our nurse was so kind and made us feel as comfortable as we could considering the circumstances. Our nurse the next morning (Lydia) was just as wonderful. Very compassionate and kept us up to date.

I do not regret my decision to take him there. We had a wonderful experience and I never questioned the care he was receiving.
