They where very rude to me on the phone and when I was trying to talk to one of my loved ones who is in the hospital after I got put on hold for like 20 minutes a girl name Kristen answered and she said “hi it’s Kristen I will tell him to call you back you can’t keep calling every five minutes we only have one portable phone so bye I’ll tell him to call you back”
And then hung up. Very rude. Because I was trying to check in with one of my loved ones and was upset and I just think it’s horrible that someone who works in a hospital would say that and then just hang up... Furthermore I did not call every five minutes I called maybe an hour and a half before that and talked to my loved one, for only about five minutes and then he had to go because she needed the portable phone back.

My wife needes her abdominal ultrasound and we were sent to this hospital. First impression was not bad. It was hard to find a parking spot so we used the parking building. I found one spot on 3rd floor. There was an elevator so it was okay. The each spot is not spacious, though. Then we headed to the main entrance and the building was clean and bright. It seems like pretty recently built or the maintenance is very good. Bathrooms were clean as well. I asked where to go, and the receptionist was very kind enough to stand up and point the direction she was explaining. It was really helpful and I felt I am treated well.
Then I went to the radiology department. The workers were very kind and gentle. They explained me what to do step by step. And after that we received a pager.
Shortly after, the pager beeped and we were trying to go inside with my wife (2 kids and myself). The technician told me that it's a small room, but she didn't mind having all of us. But my wife ended up going by herself:) They did really good job taking ultrasound pictures and asked us to bring previous CT images to make sure. They totally didn't have to do that, but they were willing to do it for us. We were so honored and this hospital worth more than 5 stars!!

Quality of care here is exceptional. I had a pleasant experience and would recommend this hospital location to friends and family.

To all new employees... this is one of the worst place to work for. after being here for more than 10 years, the new managers of these departments do not help or even listen to your opinions. And even worst HR does not do anything to you, they only make you feel as if you are not being a team player. The managers of this department do not care about their employees at all. They only care about themselves. If something is not the way they like it, they would write you up or even cut your hours. They do not listen to you because they treat you as if you are nothing. When HR gets involved, they would accuse you of being insubordinate. To all the new potential employees of Lowell General, please save everything and if they promise you one thing make sure you have it in writing. This is not true in all departments, but one department reflects on all.

Absolutely love this hospital! I used to go to the Merrimack Valley OB/GYN in 2017-2018 for my prenatal visits (LOVE the Dr's and Staffs) + follow ups after I had my baby.
The maternity center is really nice/updated with amazing RN's and employees that work there! Thwy definitely helped make my labor a lot smoother and comfortable.
