feedback about Martha Jefferson Hospital
Of course this is my opinion, but BAYLOR MD, MICHAEL has a moral compass comparable to a human sex trafficker taking advantage of the vulnerable. $3,100 JUST for a CT scan to diagnose a kidney stone when they could have used a cheap ultra sound. They act like it wasn't even an option. He is nice to your face... like a Catholic Priest. Also the ER smelled like urine.
I have worked in several hospital and get treatment to more. Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital the best one. We had our first baby in the hospital and it was amazing time for us. We are from Turkey. There wasn't any discrimination. All of stuff was very nice and treated us with patient. Always they listened us and answered all of questions that we asked. Thank a lot to all of Martha Jefferson stuff. I hope we will have our second baby in the hospital too.
Terrible service!! IMO I would not bring my loved ones here for a hangnail. Just got done sitting in the ER for 4 hours with a 102 fever and chest pains. The Triage nurse, Christina came over to me took my temperature and blood pressure and then just walked away. She did t say anything more to me, she just walked off and started treating someone else. After sitting in the ER for 3.5 hours with no sign of help I site I walked out and will be going to UVA. Or I’ll just wait until my condition is serious enough to warrant a ambulance ride. Seems to be the only way to be seen there. If this all were not bad enough, my first bad experience with this ER was when the nurse in the ER wanted to go home early last year when we had snow. Since she was so concerned about getting home she told the head doctor that I refused treatment for my daughter and then she left. Leaving my daughter in total pain and discomfort. But, at least she got to go home. Obviously that’s paramount to patient care. I know we are all human, but if that’s your way of working, maybe you should not be in healthcare. Lastly, they cut the waiting room in half to make more sitting treatment room, but they didn’t hire any more doctors. So as long as they get your butt in the seat and checked in, they believe they’ve got you into their money making machine. Because a hospital owned by the same people who own a health insurance company, might have other interests than patient care.
I've had nothing but great experiences here, even when presenting in the ER in states of distress.
The staff is wonderful and they have very short wait times.
Been diagnosed here when other facilities and Pcps have failed or misdiagnosed me.
Would strongly suggest over UVA, any day of the week!
Emergency room is extremely extremely slow, I probably would have died if I actually came in for something life threatening the amount of time they take and it’s not even busy. DO BETTER. Very disappointed.
