feedback about Martha Jefferson Hospital
Labor and delivery nurses Erin, Lauren and Mallory were amazing. My daughter was in labor for 29 hours and each of them were compassionate and truly cared about my daughter and how she wanted her birthing process to go. Dr Owens did what ever it took to make sure my daughter was able to have my beautiful grandson naturally as my daughter truly wanted for herself and her baby. Dr Montgomery was truly amazing as well to my daughter and I want each and every one of them to be recognized for there Excellence.
(UPDATE) Emergency room was one mistake after another. After the visit we found out there was another M. Booth at the hospital at the same time. Personal data and CT scan results were switched. This lead to improper treatment and a subsequent re visit for another CT scan. That's when the mistake was found.
Once my wife was moved into a room she received the care she needed. And though it took numerous doctors to figure our Her condition they stuck with it. She is now being released with the proper medications to control Her issues. These folks were 5 STARS. It's to these Doctors I say, "It's hard to soar like an eagle when your surrounded by turkeys, isn't it?"
Came here for my surgery instead of Uva. One of the best decisions of my life. The doctors, nurses everyone was so kind, professional and caring. Will always come here for anything now. Uva was horrible, didn’t care but made sure you had a big hospital bill left to remember them for.
My daughter went through three shifts of nurses and doctors while in labor & delivery. Every single person were so kind & professional.
Martha Jefferson Hospital does not really have an emergency department. They triage/divert anyone who might need more than basic URGENT care needs to UVA. I strongly recommend that you do NOT go to their "emergency department." Apparently, the "charge nurse" decides who can come or not, NOT based on an actual assessment by trained EMT volunteers, but based on a set of "guidelines." I hope you never need any emergency care. It is very unfortunate Patient First closes, because they are better that the sorry excuse of the Martha Jefferson, not really an emergency department. I have to say UVA is very good at MAJOR trauma, but Martha Jefferson deflects minor trauma to UVA, making you just a victim of emergency room resource wasting, and extremely long wait time, due to ACTUAL LIFE THREATENING trauma.. DO NOT GO THERE FOR EMERGENCY CARE. They just will deflect you to UVA if you are not a simple, straight forward problem. This "emergency department" Is an embarrassment.
