I had a bad fall on a very busy night. Everyone was very efficient and kind. I had a bit of a wait but totally understand that there were people who needed attention immediately. This is a wonderful and professional hospital.

Horrible wait, O. K. Staff/tech's.
-longest waiting room on the whole island. Had a suregon tell my father he needed quite a serious 24month rehabilitation period after the surgery the DOCTOR (A.K.A)(*MD*) TURNED OUT TO BE 100% INCORRECT.
-my father luckily had a chance to get a second opinion on the injury, and he left 2-3hrs later out of MASS General = NOT 1 (ONE) SINGLE AILMENT OF ANYSORT. =no surgery.
-the fact that our one and only hospital has been wrong MANY MANY times in misdiagnosed patients, over operated on, and MOST OF ALL

(WRONG). #noughsaid.

My sister took her grandson who was sick 2yr old to this hospital. They were there for about an hour. No one else was there and a white lady with two kids walked in and was immediately taken back. My sister asked front desk about it and the receptionist lied and said they were there before her. It was a blatant lie as my sis was only one in waiting room. The lady kept saying "I don't know how long wait will be". I mean really?? How damn obvious is this racism. This hospital is horrible for many reasons other than this situation. How can this be in Martha's Vineyard of all places?

Everything about my mother's experience at this Hospital was exceptional. My mom broke her hip on the Island when visiting friends. From the EMT and Paramedics who brought her in, to the ER staff, surgery teams, nurses, cnas, doctors, PAs, food service team, OT, PT, and everyone else was friendly, efficient and made her feel well cared for.

The Hospital is beautiful. It looks like a 5 star hotel, with wood floors, beautiful private rooms and original Island artwork. Patient rooms have a view of the ocean or the lovely rooftop garden, where patients and visitors can also sit outside. They also have a pull out sofa visitors can sleep on.

My Mom and I were surprised by the excellent quality of the food. First of all, if you are visiting a patient, they graciously provide you a meal. I couldn't believe it. The menu for patients is diverse and varies for those with dietary restrictions. My mother, who knows good food, has been here for almost a month and has not gotten tired if the food or the choices yet! I had the yankee pot roast one night and it was heavenly. The meat was so tender and the flavors were perfect. I'd order it in any restaurant.

Bottom line, if you or your loved ones need medical care, you will be very happy with every aspect of your care here.
