I went here to give birth to my youngest and I loved the attention and care from all the staff, nurses and doctors and midwife. They were all amazing! I loved the bath tub experience during labor, helped me relax and eased a lot of labor pains. I loved that my nurse helped me shower after giving birth, i wish i remember her name but she was awesome! The mom and dad dinner served to us on our final day of stay was superb, special thanks to Ms Josie! Definitely a 5 stay birthing experience for me!

What happened to this place, they used to have nurses and staff that did everything to make a patients stay calming and not stressful. Whoever Jackie is, she needs to be re-trained and until she learns how to treat people respectfully, removed as a night supervisor. She talks to the families of patients like they're trash, she will insult you, and will talk over you to make it a point to not allow you to speak. She refuses to listen to anything except her own voice. I've NEVER been insulted so bad by anyone at this facility. The dispatch team was fantastic 5 stars, the security officer was very professional and helpful 5 stars. Jackie truly made this simple situation a terrible experience.

P.S. don't ever make any rhetorical statements. This hospital has a policy to make you feel like a prisoner and you lose any and all privacy. As I was notified by a nurse last night, it is the hospital's POLICY to take ALL of your possessions, even your hospital gown, and make you wear a paper smock. In their view it's for "the patients safety" even if they know for a fact the patient is actually of no harm to themself or anyone around them. If the patient contacts a family member or significant other with a mobile device, that gets confiscated and turned off so the patient can ONLY speak with you if you call in and they actually allow you to talk to them.

Anyone that isn't sadistic would know this isn't how you treat a human being that's in a hospital to get help.

Been sitting here since just before 1:00 with my son who has abdominal pain. They schedule a CAT Scan and he drinks the liquid contrast. He is scheduled to go in at 6:30 for the scan. At 6:10 a patient comes in who has been sick since THURSDAY!!!! They bump my son WHO HAS BEEN HERE SINCE 1:00 TO TAKE HER. It is now 6:50, he is in pain and WE ARE STILL WAITING!!! I should have drove to St. Mary's in Amsterdam.

They do not care about HIPAA laws! My daughter was born and was transferred to the pediatric unit after birth. Well the nurse practitioner there does not care about patients rights or privacy. Michelle Morrison came into my daughters room when I was not there and my mother in law was in the room with my daughter so I could run to the store quickly. Well Michelle Morrison when she went in told my mother in law VERY confidential information that should have NEVER and I mean NEVER been discussed with my mother in law. She also told my MIL that she would rather speak to her because her and I didnt get along. I had never spoken more then 2 words to michelle morrison so i dont have the slightest clue why she would tell my mother in law we dont get along and no matter what I find that very unprofessional to even say something like that let alone tell my MIL medical information. There was even a nurse in the room when Michelle went in there and that nurse even confirmed everything that was said to the higher ups. I spoke with the higher ups and then recieve a letter in the mail weeks after my daughter came home stating they did an investigation and spoke with michelle Morrison and they could not tell me how they reprimanded her because they have a privacy policy for their staff. But yet my daughters privacy or my privacy didnt matter but michelle morrisons does?!?! They only told me what Michelle's excuse was. They stated that michelle thought it was MY mother which does not make a difference either way because we did not give permission for any family members to be able to get our daughters medical information or mine. This happened a few days before we were discharged and from the get go EVERYONE that worked that unit knew to not even talk about anything In front of my mother in law because of personal issues with my MIL so her playing stupid doesnt fly with me. If your child ends up on the pediatric unit or if you're just giving birth because she works the maternity ward as well ask for someone else as soon as you see her because your privacy will not be protected with her! Our lawyer is currently working on this and I am not backing down. What this women did was terrible and she does not deserve her job she has no bed side manner whatsoever either.
