My daughter was recently born in Basset Cooperstown's Birthing Center. She was struggling to breathe when she emerged from the womb, and the team flew into action, getting her airways clear and eventually functioning on their own after a few hours. They probably saved her life. The staff in the delivery room, the special care nursery, and pediatrics were first-rate. They were knowledgeable, friendly, caring and supportive every step of the way. Everyone from the providers to the housekeepers made the stay pleasurable. I will be forever grateful to them.

I went here to give birth to my youngest and I loved the attention and care from all the staff, nurses and doctors and midwife. They were all amazing! I loved the bath tub experience during labor, helped me relax and eased a lot of labor pains. I loved that my nurse helped me shower after giving birth, i wish i remember her name but she was awesome! The mom and dad dinner served to us on our final day of stay was superb, special thanks to Ms Josie! Definitely a 5 stay birthing experience for me!

This place is nothing short of the worst. Moved room to room. Being told things that are not even true. Absolutely disgusted. Never in my life would I recommend anybody come here.

What happened to this place, they used to have nurses and staff that did everything to make a patients stay calming and not stressful. Whoever Jackie is, she needs to be re-trained and until she learns how to treat people respectfully, removed as a night supervisor. She talks to the families of patients like they're trash, she will insult you, and will talk over you to make it a point to not allow you to speak. She refuses to listen to anything except her own voice. I've NEVER been insulted so bad by anyone at this facility. The dispatch team was fantastic 5 stars, the security officer was very professional and helpful 5 stars. Jackie truly made this simple situation a terrible experience. P.S. don't ever make any rhetorical statements. This hospital has a policy to make you feel like a prisoner and you lose any and all privacy. As I was notified by a nurse last night, it is the hospital's POLICY to take ALL of your possessions, even your hospital gown, and make you wear a paper smock. In their view it's for "the patients safety" even if they know for a fact the patient is actually of no harm to themself or anyone around them. If the patient contacts a family member or significant other with a mobile device, that gets confiscated and turned off so the patient can ONLY speak with you if you call in and they actually allow you to talk to them. Anyone that isn't sadistic would know this isn't how you treat a human being that's in a hospital to get help.
