I would give this 0 stars if I could. This is by far the worst hospital I have ever been to. I have a chronic illness and get a lot of kidney infections. The usual wait times in the ER are ridiculous. They need a better system. There have been several occasions where I have been in absolute agony and waited over 5 hours to get a bed in the back. The majority of the staff working here are extremely rude and unpleasant. Out of everyone, the doctors are the worst. I have been in and out of this hospital for the past 5 years and not once have I had a decent doctor. They are all grumpy, inpatient and lack any kind of empathy for the patients. As a doctor, you should at least have a good bedside manner. It’s more than obvious that they are just in it for the paycheck and don’t care if people suffer. I live 5 minutes away from this hospital but always end up having to drive further away to get the care I need. I once had sepsis from a very bad kidney infection that had progressed and I was on the floor shaking and screaming in pain. I pressed the call button several times over the space of an hour and no one had come in. I couldn’t get to the door because I had iv lines and tubes attached to me and they wouldn’t reach so it took me crying and screaming in pain for over an hour before someone actually came in to see what was going on. I had asked my nurse for some pain medicine as by this point I was on the verge of passing out from the pain. The doctor finally came back in after the nurse had requested something for the pain on my behalf and instead of him coming in and trying to help me and make me more comfortable, he yelled at me for making too much noise apparently and refused to give me anything for my pain because I had been in the hospital a lot for my infections and he assumed I was just in here for the drugs. Despite my heart rate being almost 200bpm and a positive sepsis test. NEVER COME TO THIS HOSPITAL! It’s worth driving the extra miles to get treated with respect and understanding. I will never come here again. I’m
Absolutely disgusted by this place. I’m surprised it’s still open.
Oh and one more thing. The nurses like to make a habit of standing outside your room laughing and talking about how much they dislike their jobs.
