I've gone here for treatment and for many diagnostic tests and I've always been treated with respect and dignity. I've never had to wait more than 10 minutes and I've always been informed of everything that is going on with my appointments and with my treatments. Billing has always gone smoothly and they've worked with my insurance to make sure everything is taken care of as it should be. On top of all that, their health portal is fabulous. You have all your medical information, test results, upcoming appointment information and after visit summaries in one place. It's the best health portal I've seen.
These guys did my surgery and I did after care here. Can't say enough about how thankful I am. Never had any problems here in any visits. Dr. Parsons was great and so we're staff. Emergency techs have always been on the ball and quick. Thank you.
Just released from MCR after 2 nights there. Total Hip Replacement surgery. This is a review of the Medical and Specialty Care Unit on 5th Floor South. I cannot say enough positive things about the medical professionals who attended to me. They are simply brilliant. The nurses, the assistants, the physical therapist, the occupational therapists all are first class care. They were all caring, dedicated professionals who were looking after my best interests. They were encouraging in my physical therapy (a lot of walking), and were right there whenever I needed their assistance. I called on them more than a few times, and they always were cheerful and helpful. 5 Stars is not enough for this wonderful group of caring medical professionals.
I had my daughter on 12/30/2017 and the hospital staff was amazing!! I would not have been able to get through my natural childbirth without those amazing nurses. That being said, after we had left the hospital was when things really hit the fan. It is now January of 2019 and I am STILL dealing with the billing department. They over promise and under deliver. It would have been so much more beneficial if I would have just gotten the paperwork and filed the claims myself. I have been sent to collections over balances that are not even accurate, I have had the representatives give me FAKE claim numbers, they are uneducated about how billing works, they refuse to give me a number where I can file a formal complaint (I had to find it myself), they don't give me copies of the claims or supporting documentation they had sent to my insurance, they state that they are going to do things on recorded lines with my insurance and don't end up doing it. Looks like they supposedly refiled a claim 30 days ago that my insurance has not received yet so I'm not holding my breath on it. I have worked in the medical field, so I know how difficult insurance can be, but in this situation, it is more pleasant dealing with insurance than it is dealing with this establishment which says a lot! I live fairly close to this hospital and I would recommend their amazing doctors and nurses anytime, but I dread ever having to go there again because of their billing department. If you have the time to sit down and compare EOBS, medical bills, etc. then by all means this is the establishment for you!
I have seen my share of hospitals but this one as far as nursing staff goes was absolutely the worst. They were rude uncaring and almost seemed to enjoy inflicting pain. After 24 hours of laying in urine soaked sheets I walked out.
