"On October 4th of this year, my father was transferred to the Memorial Hospital of Gardena. At the time, I
did not realize the mistake it would become. Unfortunately, my father was treated awfully and unjust where the nurses are basically the ones to blame. Even my father started to complain about his treatment
at this establishment. There were some moments where he would spend most of his time sleeping so we found out about his horrible treatment moments later. Three days later, one of my aunts went to visit my father and found him with a diaper full and it was very clear to see that the diaper had not been changed for a long time.
Not only that but he was not even supposed to have a diaper in the first place. Once this was brought up with the nurse, they claimed that it was a misunderstanding and that it would not happen again. That same day
I also went and was able to witness how a nurse disrespected and humiliated another patient. In this instance,
she proceeded to curse him out while also making horrible jokes about his condition. The next day, my sisters
and I demanded to speak with the person in charge. She seemed liked she was willing to help but one can tell
when blank promises are made. Once we left the establishment, the person in charge proceeds to call my father and starts to make fun of him. Around 7 pm that day, my father calls me in tears and is truly terrified regarding his nurse. I rushed to the hospital to see his condition and once I went in, I listened to how arrogant and disrespectful the nurse was to my father. I was outraged as anyone would be. All we want is the best treatment for my father and it was unfortunate that this establishment misused my trust. My only option was to transfer him from the establishment. Unfortunately, he was forced to sign a paper that says
it is forbidden for him to leave due to medical advice. With no doubts, I took my father to another hospital. I seek justice for this unfair and unjust treatment to people who only seek health and well being.
First of all, being a nurse is a job and it requires patience and kindness for others even if it is not reciprocated. Please aid me in getting this info out to other people because the last thing anyone wants to
see is an unfortunate outcome due to the mistreatment of others."
