I work here. Its a hospital. They all have there ups and downs. It's hard to review a place like a hospital because everyone is different and think differently about their experiences with the doctors, staff, etc. Would I come here? Yes. Would I recommend it? Yes.

This must be America's cheapest (and rudest) hospital. Nurses did not want to give my mom any drink except water and it was like twisting their arms to get snacks. And because I asked them for a few courtesy menstrual pads, nurse Vicky asked if I was homeless! Pure rudeness by everyone. And don't let me talk about Brooke- very unprofessional nurse and always late with medicine. Nurses here are always late with medicines, but Brooke took the cake.
Lastly, how bright are the nurses here? I spoke to a charge nurse about my concerns about radiation exposure from a CT scan. Instead, I asked her if an MRI would work- the CHARGE NURSE told me an MRI has radiation! Idiots.

The care at this hospital has always been good as far as the nurses kindness and friendliness; however, it concerns me that they do not have on call cardiologists available. My dad was transported to Danville this past weekend for that very reason later to find he had a 99% blocked artery in the back of his heart and could have died with a heart attack. I just think Sovah Martinsville needs to work on a plan to strengthen their cardiology program. For as many heart problems people have it concerns me that our hospital is not equipped to handle this kind of situation.

They need to do better. My mother has to go there every two weeks for an iron infusion ordered by her doctor. It's suppose to be for 1 hour and they're suppose to start at 9am. They did good the first time, but after that, they started getting later and later doing it. What makes it even worse is that we have to wait on rides to and from there. They almost made us miss our ride quite a few times because they want to be slow. What's so hard about starting at 9am and finishing at 10am? Get it together Sovah!

Martinsville Sovah hospital is the best! The doctors everywhere in this Hospital have a fantastic bedside Manner and truly care and show compassion for each of their patients. From Dr.Tiffany Plunk, Dr. Wenkstern, Dr. O'Neill, Dr. Tom Rachner , Jessica Erin in Radiology they take care of you just like they would their own family.
My mother has Alzheimer's and all the doctors and staff let my mom in to the exam room when I have an appointment that are so nice to her I make sure that these are her doctors as well.
As we have lived all over the world my mother and I both agree that we have unlimited talent and excellent customer service at Martinsville Hospital.
I never thought I would say this but I have so much fun when I go there, seriously because living in Martinsville is like having a huge family everyone knows each other and I love it here and they all watch out for each other and the hospital is no different.
Thank you for taking such good care of me now and in the future and I'm always happy to have to go back because I know I'm in great hands. THANK YOU!
