Here for rotator cup surgery. Our Surgeon instilled confidence and the whole experience was excellent.
I noticed a lot of negative reviews but angry people always complain. My partner was pleased. The facility was built in 1970 and looked dated but clean. Better than UCSF MEDICAL
FYI! I just received a $2,000+ bill for a small but concerning laceration to my finger tip. My total treatment time was less than 15 minutes. Unfortunately I received this cut on a holiday and all other facilities were closed. I've never been to an emergency room before and I had no idea that this would be such an expensive visit. They are "unable to give you an approximate cost until after care is provided".
This is NOT a rating for the service that I received. The service was quick and friendly. My only frustration with the service is this: PLEASE develop a better procedure for helping patients estimate the cost of a visit.
I hate this place. My grandmother passed away here in November because they didn't know what they were doing to even try to help her. They had her laying down flat, with pneumonia. Any idiot would know if you have some sort of breathing issue, you dont lie down flat! They weren't moving her at all, so she was starting to get pressure ulcers. I'm a certified medical assistant, and I can tell you, they do not keep things up to code.
Very unprofessional. The staff on the fifth floor don't know how to treat people. A man in the next room to us calling out to nurses for someone to help him go to the restroom at least 10 times screaming ended popping himself everywhere, the smell was gaging. My sister that got her kidney removed, was treated very badly. Even by the surgeon, it seemed like all they wanted to do is get her out. No info about what to do at home. NONE. And two big at least 7 inch scars. Sitiing in her room i can hear the nusres talking and laughing about their own personal life, ARE YOU KIDDING ME. This place is a JOKE. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. MELISSA is very mean.
Great hospital with great Physicians and paramedics. They are very committed to excellence.
