I've taken my son to this facility twice in the last month. The wait in the ER is minimal compared to the large Mercy Hospital in OKC. We were taken into an examining "room" in the ER immediately. A nurse was over to see us and get the info within 5 minutes. Within 10 minutes, a NP came and asked further questions, made some decisions on what direction to take. The first visit, we were there a little longer than the second, but at most, we were there about 2 1/2 hours total. At the Mercy in OKC, it takes 3 hours just to be seen. The staff here are very caring and convey that in the way they deal with the patients. I was very impressed with the care my son received both times.

Terrible Doctors, 2 time heart patient, breast cancer patient. Never once checked my heart. Get 2 opinion always.

If you have a true medical emergency this is not the hospital for you . It doesn't matter how busy they are it will be several hours before you leave. Don't expect any updates during your long wait and if you have any questions you'll be treated like a nuisance. I don't know how they keep this hospital open, you have been warned, if your going to rack up a emergency room bill at least give your money to a facility that is run by respectable professionals.....

To be very blunt, if I could give this place less than one star, I would do that. My friend, who I go to school with was admitted to the Mercy Hospital in Guthrie, early this morning. He couldn't feel anything on the left side of his body and had to be taken into Guthrie by an ambulance from our campus. The only staff that seemed to be there were nurses. Which would have been fine if they would have done their job and even kept us informed atleast half of the time. My friend was the only patient they had this late at night, and yet instead of being proactive and trying to get him figured out so he could either be admitted for the night or sent home, the majority of them remained sitting at the nurses station. Every bit of information we received (which was not that much in the first place) was asked for by us. No one at the station wanted to communicate to us about anything. Over 2 hours passed before we were frustrated enough and decided to ask for any word on how our friend was doing and what they status was. At around 3:45 in the morning, after being at the hospital since around 12:30, I asked one nurse what was going on and she said that "The doctor on this floor needs to be consulted before we admit your friend to stay overnight." I asked if I could then speak to the doctor on the floor and she replied "We have to contact him, he's not here." (I didn't think a doctor had to be consulted before a patient can be admitted for overnight stay, but I suppose it's not my business.) After we were informed that the doctor had been called and he was on his way up to the hospital, the same nurse then proceeded to tell us we can take my friend back to campus. Mind you, his whole left side of his body is still numb, even at this very moment. The only thing this hospital was successful at doing for us was running up an unnecessary bill for my friend and his family, run a bogus CT scan for the heck of it, drug him up for 3 hours, lie to us about needing a doctors approval or that he was called at all, and then send him on his way. Maybe this hospital is run differently during the daytime hours, I'm not so sure. However, my friends and I have permanently decided not to trust this hospital with our needs ever again. We will not be revisiting Mercy Hospital in Guthrie Oklahoma for any of our emergency needs. Hope this review saves a life, because it sure didn't help ours.

The ER staff is very efficient. The nurses take every precaution to give you the treatment you need to the best of their ability. The radiology department expresses thier utmost devotion to patient care and are undoubtedly proficient at their profession.
