Manish R Gupta is an absolute monster, he laughed in my grandmothers face and had no compassion for the pain he caused her, when she asked him if it was going to hurt he said “it’s not going to hurt me” and then laughed at her. He jammed a needle in her hand hard and hurt her and when she asked him to stop he didn’t because he said he was running late. Her hand was completely swollen and bruised from him jamming the needle in and fishing it all around. No bed side manner at all my grandma is 80 years old. You don’t treat an older person like this. She is terrified to go back and don’t want to even go to her fallow up appointment.
I used to love this hospital. I live an hour away and still refused to go anywhere else for my care including emergency visits. Im a diabetic and suffer from constant ulcers and wounds with many different infections and surgeries and amputations on my feet. The wound care staff was always great sympathetic and very understanding. Until recently. I went to the er and failed a drug test for some pretty bad stuff. 1st time ive ever had drugs in my system since i started going there almost 3 years ago. I actually detoxed while there. I was in the hospital 6 days and slept the 1st 5. After that everyones attitudes changed very dramatically. I didnt even get to talk to my dr after surgery. Other drs talked to me with complete disrespect. And im now being told that i can not even go there and b seen anymore. They're saying its due to noncompliance but thats not how it feels. I cancelled my folow up appointment bcuz i was embarrassed and i wanted to b 100% clean when i walked back in there and i am now. 5 weeks yesterday 😊 i called to discuss the situation and again was treated poorly. I still have ostiomylitus and now my wounds r healed on the outside however a recent er visit said that my white count is elevated meaning infection is still brewing on the inside. How can they refuse to see me? All i know is if your perfect this is a good place for you. But if u have any type of substance issues this hospital will treat you like your the scum of the earth even after your clean go somewhere else.
I cannot speak for other parts of the hospital at St. Charles, but I've been a patient in the behavioral health unit twice now, my recent being November 19th-22nd, and each experience was awful.
I have never met more uncaring staff. Quite frankly, I believe they are there to simply collect a paycheck and therefore not only couldn't care less about their patients, but also are not trained to deal with the psychologically disabled. All I was met with was hostility, mockery, and being thrown in the seclusion room for trying to stand up for myself.
If you're not dedicated to your job and lack basic empathy for others, you shouldn't be working in a setting that requires you to care for others. 🤷🏻♀️
There were a few good nurses but overall this place is awful. The nurses dont communicate well or show up when needed at times. They're rude and half the time don't have a good answer for you. They had to move and restitch my bfs lung tube 3 times, didnt start the process he was supposed to be on soon enough and kept telling he'd be out sooner then kept pushing the release date back and kept him waiting for hours to be realeased after telling him he should be out at a certain time.
waited all day for the lab to process a request for lab work. They were not able to find it - even after my doctor sent it seven times - every time we called the lab the number to check if the order was recieved our call was not picked up and eventually discconected.. if they cannot process something this simple I would be afraid to go there... I called my doctor and he was told the order had to go through admissions - What the hell kind of a screwed up process is that?? you would think they would have better organization then this. At least have a number were people can answer the phone to help correct the problem. I guess patents are not important to them.
