Do Not go to this place! The nurses are extremely unfriendly and rude. They treat you like your just junkie scum off the street! They do not treat patients with "chronic" pain and they decide what is chronic. The NP told me to my face that I had been there too many times and she wasn't going to treat me, to go home and "deal with" sciatic nerve pain. Even though I had no pain scripts for over 5 months. They sent my mom home with no pain medicine at all, after having 9 stitches in her face, the nurse told her to go home and drink alcohol instead. This is the dregs of the medical world, you might be better served going to a veterinarian.

Warm and friendly atmosphere. It's more of a down home laid back feeling than north ms hospital. I've been here 5 days being treated for pneumonia. I have received Excellent Care! The doctors, nurses, and all the staff have been very curtious & professional. They have went out of their way to make my stay in the hospital as easy going as possible. Everyone always has a smile on their face. Thank you Gilmore hospital and the staff that works here for the Excellent care I have recieved during my stay here. Now after my discharge I had to go back and be seen in the ER. The doctor came in for 3 minutes & he spoke over me the entire short time he was in there. He would ask me a question then he would speak over what I was saying and then on to the next question. He seem to be in a fast rush. Then he was out the door. I never saw the Dr again. The next person I saw was the nurse when they were discharging me. He read what the paper said was my diagnosis and out the door he went. The doctor never came back in and discussed anything with me. This isn't what I experienced the first time. This was not medical care. It was a joke. As soon as you arrive at the ER and I came by ambulance you are handed a cup for an urine sample. There was no need for a urine sample but I'm having to pay for one. You are also drug tested as soon as you come in the door and get to a room. There was no need for a drug test but now I owe for that too. I notice as people were brought back to a room each person was told they had to give a urine sample before they would be treated. I thought i had went to the ER not to a drug rehab. My left knee was swollen 3x its size. This was not a works man comp or car accident but I was still drug tested and charged for it. Unnecessary test were done creating unnecessary Charges! If u have to stay in the hospital the staff was excellent but if you need to be seen in the ER go To Tupelo!

My son was born here and it was an amazing experience. The facilities could definitely use updating but the staff was fantastic. Don’t judge a book by its cover.

I brought my 7 week old Granddaughter to your Emergency Room Sunday 2/11/18. After signing in a man came out to the waiting room and looked at her and assured us we'd be called right on back. After watching everyone else go before us I went to the window and asked the lady how long we'd have to sit out in the waiting room with a baby that had not even had her first set of shots, only to be asked if I wanted a mask. For the baby I asked her. She said well that's up to you. Finally we were called back to a room, five minutes in a man sticks his head in and said he was sorry that he should've moved us to the top of the list and had accidentally moved us to the bottom. Ok accidents happen, but we were not happy. The nurse that came in was very nice but the room looked as if it had not even been cleaned prior to the person in the room before as there was a barf bag in the garbage can with vomit in it. We were told the baby had RSV and we're sent on our way. We call her pediatrician this morning and they requested we bring her in. The doctor today informed us she had a terrible ear infection. You would think they would have checked her ears at the ER. We will NEVER be back to this hospital and I will tell everyone I know to NEVER darken their doors again!!! Feel free to email or text me if you'd like a picture of the nasty barf bag still in the garbage of our exam room. Makes you wonder if the bed had even been changed!!

Had the opportunity to be at this hospital on Jan 10-11. The nursing staff we were around were very good. They were knowledgeable and attentive. The problem we had was with the bathroom facilities in the admittance area. The sick was almost stopped up which made it hard to wash your hands with dirty water standing in the sink. Also the toilets would like flush like they were suppose to. This needs to be addressed.
