The hospital has to be one of the slowest on Earth. I'm not sure what part of emergency they don't understand. I have been sitting in the emergency for 3 1/2 hours, still in the waiting room. My mother, 88, is is a lot of pain and no one could care less. Next time it will be Saginaw for sure. This is not even poor service, it's no service. If she was bleeding she would be dead by now. Do yourself a favor and stay away.
2nd time in 1 month upon check in at Orchard building for tests had rude receptionists. Today at desk for ultrasound receptionist asking inappropriate questions. Never sure who to complain to. But clearly they need to be moved to area not working with the public.
I had an excellent experience. I was in this facility for two days because of a surgery replacing two discs in my neck. Everyone was excellent, I couldn't have had a better experience. The staff was very kind and caring and the food was amazing. If I ever have the need for another procedure, I will request MidMich Medical Center (Midland Mi)
Hopefully better late than never applies here. Since originally posted this review - my Mother was at this hospital twice for after surgery care. Had hip then knee surgery. I do not have a lot of experience with hospitals but know even with my limited experience - the care was exceptional. The nursing staff and the professional staff were all amazing... very knowledgeable and always on the ball.
My 83 mother has been in horrific pain since last January with full coverage Humana/Medicare insurance. She was still doing great up til a year ago - rode bike everyday to go to her gardens she had near her apartments in Midland. This Medical center/Dr will do nothing. Now having to make appt here in Atlanta GA so she can try to get some action on resolving her hip/pelvic pain. Which means having to pay out of pocket and get hotel room in Atlanta. They have no idea what is causing the pain and do not refer her to specialist to get a diagnosis. These medical center are pretty much extortionist when it comes to the elderly with Medicare / advantage Humana etc coverage.
The food from breakfast is reheated throughout the entire day! Worst food I've ever seen served to people. As far as care goes keep driving to Covenant in Saginaw. They are 10 times the hospital. Countless people getting sent home with congestive heart failure because they dont see a problem. 99% blockage and they cant find the problem. 83yr old co-worker sent home because she has an infection but they dont know where it is. 83 yr old with a issue being sent away and denied care because of their inability to perform simple diagnosis. She told them that her symptoms developed the same time a painful lump developed on the back of her neck. Think they even looked at it. Nope, told her they doubted it and to take her infection home. They are going to kill her because of their typical arrogance and negligence to even give a hoot about their job or the lives that depend on them.
