Wife and I stayed two weeks here while delivering our son prematurely. Nurses were professional, kind and highly trained. Would nominate all of them for the Daisy award. Doctors also work at Children’s Hospital and are the best in their field. They saved my wife’s and new born son’s life. Forever Grateful.

My 83 year old father was urgently transferred from a smaller hospital two hours away due to a sudden blood clot (they did not have an ultrasound) at midnight. Although they had his room prepared upon arrival.... it took THIRTEEN HOURS for him to receive the ultrasound which was pertinent in determining treatment. Our nurse, whose name I will generously withhold.... blatantly misled us as to why the wait was so unacceptable. At one o’clock on a Monday afternoon she claimed the ‘computers are in downtime.’ The floor hospitalist physically RAN away from me in the hall. I am appalled by this, our first and ONLY experience. Thank God my father did not have a blood clot! They did discharge us within an hour and a half of finally finishing up this ordeal. I sincerely hope that no other family ever has to endure what we have in the past twenty four hours. Heartbreaking.

This was my first time being hospitalized over night and I had a beautiful experience. This was my first child and I was hospitalized for 5 days after having a c-section. Every single nurse was amazing and very nice and caring. I appreciated everyone there and would not want to have my baby anywhere else. Thank you so much Labor and Delivery for the wonderful experience. I would recommend this hospital to everyone.

My wife was recently diagnosed with cancer. After receiving care for many months from countless staff and departments we can honestly we have not had a bad experience as far as the care we’ve received goes. (They can’t stop having cancer from “sucking” after all!) The staff have gone out of their way to be accommodating & compassionate... all while we’ve been receiving the best of care. Of all the options we’ve had, we are so glad we chose Missouri Baptist for our travel through this horrible life event.

THE WORST HOSPITAL EXPERIENCE ANYONE COULD GO THROUGH. I ended up there due to severe anxiety attacks, which initially caused the tips of my fingers and toes to start tingling and eventually go almost completely numb. It spread within a week throughout both hands and from my feet all the way up my legs. It was extremely hard to walk. Very scary, considering I’m 29 and never have had any medical issues/poor health. Firstly, they tried to take me off some of my medications, which I had been on for 8 years and start me on something new that would take 4 to 6 weeks to even be able to see a difference??? The second morning I had 3 security guards rush into my room and accuse me of snorting pills and huffing!!! I was so insulted and totally flew off the handle. So then I was labeled as being crazy. Not to mention the security guard went right into my purse and started looking through it. The following day the nurse gave me my medications in the a.m.. I then poured the cup of pills she gave me into my hand and asked her to identify each pill. MY NURSE COULD NOT DO THIS!! I was in shock and not to mention scared at that point! Also two of the doctors that came into see me didn’t even introduce themselves, very professional. I know your busy guys but COME ON! Lastly, all they kept talking about was my mental health?!? I’ve been seeking professional help for eight years now(as I said earlier) regarding my mental health and have been re-evaluated every 6 months. THE LAST GD thing I needed were doctors just coming up with these random diagnosis out of nowhere and totally ignore the fact that I couldn’t walk! Really, really nice place.
