I had a large surgery at this hospital on Monday with an overnight stay. Prior to the procedure, the staff was very nice and helpful. After the surgery, though, I was placed in the Maternity ward and basically forgotten. My nurse withheld medicine to reduce swelling the entire night claiming that she didn't want the "hassle" of updating the medicine time in the chart and I would need to wait until the morning when the next nurse would come in. I went 14 hours without this medicine- even though it was supposed to be given every 6 hours. When the morning nurse did come in, I mentioned how uncomfortable I was and yet again almost in tears. She said she would be right back but never returned. I asked another staff member for help but no one came for more than 40 minutes. There were two different times during my stay where I was crying and writhing in pain. There was no real attempt to manage the pain before it became excruciating. Also, they left me in a leaky catheter that would leak all over the floor if I got out of bed. They would not take the time to even change it. Will never have surgery here again.

I was Mont. Gen.s E.R. in rather a lot of pain last Tuesday (Dec. 4th) for what I thought was a kidney stone,. First off, the two security Sgts. and the doctor did their best to be helpful and the doctor ("Dave" Sheraga were great). But that's all; the women who register you in were utter garbage; with only about 5 other people in the waiting room, only a couple of whom were actually patients, and while I was sitting there wincing in pain, the one woman behind the glass who was supposed to be checking in incoming patients was too busy checking her phone messages to check me in. It was only from repeated reminders by the security sergeant manning the lobby that my almost 30 minute wait just to be checked in came to an end. After I was finally checked in I waited over two hours to be seen; when I asked them the triage nurse and trolls they had working their check in desk made it very clear they couldn't be bothered to find out how long I might have to wait, even though none of them were doing anything except chatting and a simple phone call was all it would take to find out (by then I was one of 4 people in the waiting area, and again, most of them were just with people waiting to be seen). So I went back myself and was told quite curtly "it would be a while" because there were no beds available, even though I saw several empty ones. There may have been a reason for that, but ultimately, just the resentment directed at me by the staff that I would try to prod them into seeing me was disgusting. The doctor I finally saw and the security Sergeants aside, no one I saw that night even pretended to care about patient care at all. I was in a fair degree of pain, but they couldn't of cared less. This isn't atypical for a hospital, I've worked in several, but if you want people to at least pretend to care about you, Montgomery General E.R. is at the bottom of my personal list. And as for whatever hospital rep. who pins messages to complaints like mine about "escalating" my complaint to provide better service in the future, you're obviously being ineffectual. But a good place to start is fire the garbage you had at your check in desk on Tuesday, the 5th of December of this year. That would be a good start.

I find the attitude of some of the staffing nurses and doctors to be very unprofessional an lackluster. Why on gods green earth would any doctor suggest that any patient with a very strong will to live be taken off life support and a stuff of very care free nurses disregarding a patients pain.

I don’t have a high degree but I work with Patients
I don’t explain myself why people are so unhappy at they job they choose to do .. I drove an hour to come to this hospital cause of the care they used to provide but my last three visit nurses has been rude not only to me but some other people talking about the same thing while waiting . It’s sad very sad that people just do hours for money 💰 no compation at all !!!! I had an AKG and the nurse didn’t even removed the stickers ., looking at me like my body was dirty wich is not the case !!! Today is just not a good day to come to this hospital ....

My experiences here have been nothing short of good. The facility is not groundbreaking and has an aesthetic of the early 2000s, but is clean and the staff are nice enough. In my opinion, doctor hermenez is a bit unplesant but otherwise gave me the medications that I need
