Naples Community Hospital

As an RN, health care compliance expert, and patient advocate, I am appalled at the anti-patient rights behaviors of this organization. Patients have federally protected rights to participate in their plan of care and to give consent, considering all accurate information. This organization violates these patient rights. Patients also have the right to request the cost of services. This facility gives the cost, but then bills the patient for 500% of that stated cost. WOW! Five Hundred PerCent! That is a huge discrepancy! The integrity factor of this organization is zero. (The nurses are great)

I am a nurse in another city, my mother had knee surgery on 7/24 with Dr.Kapp the entire experience at this hospital was awesome. Every one of the staff that my mother had were so professional and caring. I'm so glad she went to this hospital.

The doctor put me on such a restrictive diet that I could not eat much of anything. For some reason he put me on a heart diet when I don’t have any heart problems. Nurses and aides are short handed. I rang the call button and it took 23 minutes to answer. Another day it was 12 minutes. They gave me to much insulin My sugar went down to 35. I had used my call button ad said I didn’t feel well before I passed out. I was lucky tat they didn’t kill me. I even told the nurse I only wanted one shot of insulation but “protocol” said I had to have two. I hope I don’t have to go back. This was downtown NCH.

1. The person missed my vain when taking blood then stabbed around to see if he could get it 2. I waited 7 hours to get in 3. When i came back in because the doctor told me to take a antibiotic for 10 days when with the product i was using its only supposed to be 3 days and so i ended up over dosing and having a allergenic reaction all over my body i was dying pertty much for those 7 days i took them . they still made a over priced bill when they r the reason i went back . they shoukd have paid for it cause it was their mistake But other then that the nurses r nice amd helpful

I had a recent fall with a head injury. From the minute I arrived, had tests, saw nurses and a physician, my care was awesome. Each and every staff person was professional, kind and truly concerned about my injuries. The ER was very well staffed. I hope I do not need to return any time soon, but I would definitely come here if needed. Thank you for creating a team that really cares about the patient they are treating.
