“This is not a hospital it’s a jail” said my grandpa. The first time my dad brought his dad to hospital and they said they couldn’t do anything for him. One month ago we brought my grandpa to another hospital which is way better (south nassua hospital). We had to bring my grandpa to this hospital because we’re in a rush and we wanted to bring him to the other hospital but they were trying to keep him against his will but we’re able to get him out by signing a paper. This hospital sucks huge big sweaty nuts
I've had some wonderful experiences here with amazing staff since I moved to East Meadow years ago. They are less than 2 miles from me and obviously my go-to place. After emergency surgery in 2012 I couldn't find more praise for their nurses and Dr. Angus.
Unfortunately, the head of surgery is a nasty piece of work and my last time there he did nothing but berate me and tell me to go see someone in NC and spend 250,000 cash. Even the nurses were apologizing when I left the place because he sent me home with painkillers that would only cause my problem to get worse.
Luckily I was able to get a ride to Cornell-Presbyterian in NYC a few hours after they released me, and I got some real care. I don't know what they did in the past few years, but a once great place took a nose dive.
I'm giving a 3 for the wonderful nurses. The surgical doctors think they're gods. I met compassionate wonderful surgeons in NYC, so I know it's not all surgeons. Some how the ones at NUMC think they're better than anyone else.
My job called an ambulance on me because I was having the worst body aches, vomit, and I had just been in a car accident a few weeks back. I just arrived to work from a 2hr bus ride, EMS takes to the ER and no one ever came to check on me. A nurse came once after a pressed the damn button for someone to come see me. The doctor said, “there’s nothing we can do for you” after a few minutes they literally throw me out of the er and leave me at the bus stop. It was the worst experience in my life I’ve ever had to deal with. The least they could have done is call me a cab right? I was without any money, they knew I had gone to Nassau for work and I really had no idea where they’re located. The patient service is terrible. HORRIBLE.
I was in the burn unit and did not know what to expect. What I did experience is very nice compassionate staff that gave you more than there great skills. The doctors did a fantastic job on my injury and defeated the extreme pain fast. Cleaning woman nurses and the doctors were outstanding by just being wonderful and genuine. I was treated the best and I'm grateful for there service. Thank you NUMC burn unit!!! You guys are the best!
I Like this hospital, since my husband have the accident we been coming here, they really good, they take the time to talk and explain to you.
