feedback about Northfield Hospital
Have had numerous disappointing interactions with this hospital. In their long term care ward, someone in their staff had STOLEN my grandmother's wedding ring and hospital staff did NOTHING to try to recover it. Long term care ward is honestly a sad joke, don't place your elderly loved ones here. ER doctors have no idea what's going on a good 70% of the time. And Dr Layne Moore has too much of a "old medicine" mentality and has very poor people skills.
Two prescriptions I was told I’d have sent to my pharmacy the DAY of my appointments. 3 weeks later for one and almost 2 weeks later for the other and NEITHER were actually sent out. I just think if I’m told that my prescription will actually be sent I should be able to trust it, I shouldn’t have to constantly check up and bug them to get my medication.
I'm just about to be discharged from the labor and delivery ward after having my second child at the Northfield hospital.
I have never in my life received the level of care anywhere else than I have here at Northfield. This is the cleanest and most comfortable facility you will ever find but aside from that, the staff brings a new meaning to the term "amazing". The nurses in the labor and delivery ward are truly the kindest, most caring and most passionate women regarding their jobs and patients you will ever find. I'm certain you will not have a better experience anywhere else.
And to the staff that assisted me in delivering my son and then where responsible for our care after, thank you. Thank you so much for all of the help, knowledge and the confidence you sent me home with. You are all truly miracle workers. Especially nurses Angie, Nicole and Ellie. You 3 are truly amazing ladies.
If you are a 1st time mom or a 10th time mom and have not but are able to deliver at Northfield, I recommend you check this place and these girls out. I PROMISE, you won't regret it!
Let me start off by saying I have never been to an ER in my life. When my 19 month old had a fever of 103.2 with Tylenol we rushed to northfield hospital. It was a Saturday evening, but our wait was short. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Most importantly, the Dr. correctly diagnosed my daughter. After excluding a couple of other illnesses he diagnosed her with a sinus infection. We were able to get antibiotics out of the vending machine in the lobby (thank god because no pharmacy was open) and within 24 hours she was much better and after 48 hours her runny nose and night time cough, that had lingered for at least a month, were almost completely better. I haven’t gotten the bill yet so I can’t speak on behalf of billing, but the care is top notch. Thank you so much northfield hospital!
Northfield hospital is 5 star in every way. I had to stop in at the emergency room in the middle of a road trip, and every single staff member, from the reception desk, to the nurses, to the x-ray tech, to the lab tech, to the doctor and the ENT specialist were kind, knowledgeable, and efficient. They explained what was going on at every turn and answered any questions I had. They didn’t do any unnecessary surgery or prescriptions, but were thorough in their testing. The ENT specialist was called in on Sunday night of Labor Day weekend but arrived quickly and was so kind. The hospital is small enough that there was no wait to get into the ER but big enough that it was still equipped every state of the art piece of equipment you could need in a hospital visit. Completely impressed and highly recommend Northfield Hospital!
