I just recently had my third child at Novant and the doctors and nurses were wonderful! Dr. Dutton delivered my son and during delivery he had gotten stuck. Things were a bit scary at the time, but the whole team jumped into action and safely got him out. I am so grateful that everyone knew exactly what to do and worked together to make sure he was okay. I would highly recommend delivering your precious child at Novant!

Had my 2nd child here in May, and it was a great experience! The nurses were all wonderful and caring. I was very impressed!

Great staff and care at all levels. Agree with Courtney A's review comments. Special thanks to doctors, nurses, transport team, ER, cleaning, tech, and Ada in food/nutrition service who was a ray of sunshine every day. The entire staff here showed technical skill/knowledge but more compassion and friendliness than in other hospitals. All went out of their way to be their most helpful.

Please PLEASE save your time and DO NOT go to this Novant location. I wish there was a zero star option. I took my 4 day old son here that had thrown up blood and home and was continuing to do so in the waiting room. They continued to take patient after patient back (some that appeared to have a broken toe) over my son. After sitting a total of 5 hours in the waiting room and 1 hour in the exam room (and complaining to multiple people) they finally sent a nurse in that pretty much said he didn’t know why it was happening. We left after deciding to go to a different location to get answers. Every staff member that we came in contact with lacked care and compassion. The ER was not even busy, so I would truly hate to see how this hospital functions when they have several emergencies at once. We were told that the only had 1 doctor on staff. Being a first time mom with my baby being only days old, I was distraught. The triage nurse tossed him around like a rag doll only to be treated worse once we got back to the exam room. I have now received a 1800 dollar charge after they did not even touch my son (other than triage taking his temperature and checking him over to obviously put him at the bottom of the list to go back). I am waiting to get an “itemized bill” but according to the billing line, 1800 is the standard charge just for walking in their doors. Please, if you’re from the Lake Norman area, make the extra drive and go to CMC Main or Presbyterian. You will receive so much better care! They sent me a survey in the mail asking about their services. After sending in a negative review, a care member contacted me and promised to get back to me. Of course, I never heard anything other than receiving their bill in the mail. I understand that medical care is expensive. I know how many people probably complain to just get out of paying a bill. I never mind paying to know in my heart that everything is okay with my son. But to be treated in the manner that we were treated, and to have no one at this location care, it is truly heart breaking. I have now learned my lesson and know where to go to get accurate care and customer service.

I would give this place a zero if I could. I am in the emergency room. I called for my nurse twice because they needed a urine sample no one came for a good 6 to 10 mins. I am in so much pain I can barely stand up straight. I had to find my own sample cup which they did not have in the room so I had to use a bed pan. I'm the patient and I had to make a way through my pain just so I wouldn't use the bathroom on myself. I have never been to this hospital before and they not care about the patient well being. Taking care of me wasn't a necessary need for these nurses and doctors.
