My experience at Novant Huntersville was AWESOME! I had a total knee replacement last December and was there for 2 days. Those 2 days were my best days ever in a hospital! Everyone, including Housekeeping, we're SO kind, respectful and helpful ! I could write a book about my experience; it was 100% positive! Even the FOOD was delicious!!!!!
I took my 6 year old to find out why he has severe rash on his face and it was spreading to his neck! No test were done the so called doctor had no clue and just referred him to a dermatologist. I left and brought him to another novant hospital and he has impetigo! Why couldn't the doctor here figure that out he didn't even try to help us! I do not recommend this place at all...
I'm specifically writing this review for the ER department. My experience yesterday was not good. I went into the ER around noon with chest pain and tightness and trouble breathing (feeling of air trapped in my chest). They hooked me up to an EKG promptly, and when they told me it looked good, they sent me back to wait for close to 4 hours... My EMT friend was worried that it could have been a collapsed lung (not my heart, and I told the nurse this), and told me to go to the ER immediately. I felt like the staff were not taking my symptoms seriously at all. I understand it is flu season, and they were completely swamped, but there were people with sniffles being called before me. I'm only glad I didn't end up having a collapsed lung, because things would have gone south before I was ever seen. Once they did finally call me back to a room, it took the doctor another 45 minutes to even see me, and my husband saw not one, but 3 doctors just hanging out and laughing at the desk. When the doctor did come in, he was very casual and barely even checked me over or listened to what I had to say before giving me a BS elimination diagnosis, and not conducting any further tests. I felt like he just wanted to get me out of there as soon as possible. The only reason I'm giving this review 2 stars instead of 1 is because the nurses treated me like an actual person, despite how busy they were. Overall, I would say it was a waste of an entire day and thousands of dollars, and I'll still have to pursue further testing on my own to get a real diagnosis from a doctor who actually cares. If you're having a medical emergency, do yourself a favor and go to a different ER.
I gave birth to my first born son in April 2017. I had a pleasant stay there. The staff were attentive and caring. The doctors and nurses were very friendly. Even though it was my first time giving birth, I didn't feel nervous or afraid because the doctors and nurses explained everything to me step by step. They made sure I was comfortable. I love that my newborn son was with me the whole time. My least favorite part would be paying the bill afterward haha. I had one issue with the bill. I wrote them a letter explaining the situation. The hospital contacted me the next day and worked on my case. A couple weeks later the issue was resolved with no headaches. I am very pleased with this hospital. I do recommend this hospital to family and friends especially mothers looking for a safe and loving place to deliver their babies.
My husband recently spent nine days on the second floor. We could not have received better care! The nurses, resident doctors, hospital doctor (Dr. Amin), CNAs, nutritional department, and guest services specialists were wonderful! The nurses and CNAs were friendly and personable, often taking a few extra minutes just to visit and make sure we were OK. Thank you, Novant Huntersville, for taking good care of my husband!
