feedback about Oak Hill Hospital
I was born in Oak hill hospital in 1999. I would whatever distance Just to go to this hospital because I always though of it as the best in the area. Until recently at the end of June, my grandfather came in because of a pain in his side that he’s had for a while and he was a little yellow. He was fine and talkative and didn’t have much of a problem while he was there and everything. Until he had an endoscopy done, the went down his throat to see if they can see what is going on with his pancreas, gallbladder, etc. and the doctor did it 8 times because he thought it was cancer but every time he was told it wasn’t. There was some blockage tho which caused the yellowness, they put a tube in the gallbladder to get past the blockage and then when he came out he seemed much different. Constantly yelling about pain and coded 3 times all in the same day. Nobody would tell us what was happening. Then he coded one more time, I demanded to know what was happening and they said he was bleeding internally. How would that happen? From the damn tube! I offered to give my blood because we are the same blood type. They did nothing. They killed him. I am so sickened by this hospital. I want to go after them but I can’t afford a lawyer and I don’t know if it’s too late. Plus it wouldn’t bring him back. But I will not ever go to this hospital again and I will tell all friends and family the same.
The maternity suites are awesome but the emergency room overcharges big time. My son went in for an uncontrollable eye rolling, our pediatrician said we should go, they did nothing other than take his vitals and refer us to a neurologist. The 2 bills from Oak Hill are over $1000 for literally just taking his blood pressure and examining his eyes and ears. The neurologist only cost $400 so something is seriously wrong here.
Had a recent visit to Oak Hill Hospital with my grandmother. I have to say, you never want to be in the hospital, but our experience with the hospital was great. The staff from the ER to admitting to discharge were amazingly kind, caring, and attentive. I need to give a big shout out to all the nurses and aids that assisted in her care, YOU ARE AWSOME!! Thank you for taking such good care of us.
So thankful for this ER staff. Even tho they were busy when I came in for lower abdominal pain they did Diligence. They found 2 ovarian cyst one being pretty small so they were precise. I would have never known if it wasn't for them. Glad I came there!!
Went to the ER September 16th in the early morning hours. It was calm and quiet. The woman in the Next Room was wielding from a CT scan she apparently needed but I also needed to be medicated prior. Seems like the ER doctors failed to communicate that life-threatening information and exploded on the patient. Dr. Santana yelled at the patient accusing her of refusing treatment .The woman exploded back explaining she wasn't refusing anything that she was allergic to iodine, the whole ER erupted in chaos with yelling. Dr. Santana further went on to tell her that itching and hives wasn't an allergic reaction. The guy was completely Unapologetic and continued to be aggressive toward the patient and then implored other staff to join him . Grossly unprofessional. Blatant lies that risk other people's lives for the sake of what? Ego?
I couldn't imagine what they would of done if she didn't stand up for herself and she died from a reaction... stick together and covered that up? Definitely didn't feel safe after witnessing that.
