10 years and six days ago I was brought here after a car wreck. While laying on the gurney, the attending physician tested my cognitive abilities. He asked, "Where are you from son?" I promptly answered, "Oakland!". He looked me in the eye and said, "No, you're not son, I know everyone in Oakland and you don't live in Oakland.". I was stunned. I must really be messed up, I thought. Then, I wondered how he could possibly know 300,000 people. It turned out that I didn't know that I was in Oakland, Nebraska and he didn't I was from Oakland, California. It was the only laugh I had for months. I thank you for that...
