I recently took my three years old to the ER due to a big cut on his knee. I really disliked that the nurse practitioner because she told my little one as he was crying when they where gluing his cut: “why are you crying? You are a cry baby, I’ll tell your friends you are a cry baby”☹️😡😢 I was having a mixture of emotions. I just wanted to cry to see my son looking at me as if he was asking for help. I felt helpless.😭
In other situation, I would have tell her off. She would have definitely have to apologize to my child but I felt no strength to get in an argument with anyone, I just wanted to get away from there; I wanted the pain that my son was feeling, to stop. It was not a good experience. I have never seen that kind of treatment towards a little child who’s in pain.
It is very sad that employees at a hospital treat people like that. I don’t know if she even realized what she was doing, I want to give her the benefit of the doubt. She sounded as if she’s from the middle eastern and they might have different a different way to deal with children in her country but I really disliked that. I pray I won’t have to go to the ER at that hospital again but if I must, I pray that God will change the way employees treat the patients; I pray that the administration will put emphasis not on getting the money from the patients but instead on making sure that the patients are well taken care of; with dignity, respect and sympathy.

I went in for a personal reasons. I was called to give blood and when I went to sit down at the table there was previous blood on the table I was to give blood on. That really spooked me out because I thought it was always procedure to DISINFECT AND STERLIZE after each patient. I asked the nurse is that blood? He confirmed yes and said let me get that for you. I don’t have a problem with the nurse because he was polite but I couldn’t trust after that! I felt let down because I want to feel safe at the hospital and it was far from how I felt at that point. I left at that point because I feared of what else was not sterilized or disinfected prior to me. I went home and had to rest. That was too much for me.

I had robotic gallbladder removal surgery on Wednesday and the nurses and doctors were amazing. The O/R nurses were top notch. Everyone was caring and understanding. Made me feel very comfortable and at ease. Thanks to all who attended to me.

Had my mom brought into the ER because of chest pains and we've been here for HOURS! The staff is nice but it's so freaking slow to get a damn doctor to check out the problem!
