Today, my sister had her second surgery at Palms of Pasadena. Since we walked in at 5:30am, everyone treated us with respect and kindness. They reassured my family by answering questions thoroughly and with confidence. Her surgery was almost 6 hours long. During that time, staff would come into the waiting room and they offered us blankets and pillows to take a nap while we waited. They were so efficient with updating us throughout the surgery. Once the surgery was over and my sister was in her hospital room, the registered nurses assigned to her room were so amazing and helpful, and even if we had silly questions, they helped us answer them and helped us feel confident in her recovery. I would 110% recommend this hospital to anyone.

*I have received a response from administration and a apology from both the emergency room director, and the administrative director also.*

I came to the emergency room for treatment, which I was in a dire amount of pain due to some issues going on. I am also chronologically ill. One of the nurses who has taken care of me before was MOCKING me in ear shot. I can understand a bad night, really, I can. I can understand you might have someone coding on the other part of the emergency room. But mocking a patient that is actually feeling pain and is sick? Wrong. That nurse is in the wrong field to be mocking a patient when hes supposed to be caring for people that are sick. He has such a bad attitude problem and that is why myself and my family has made the decision not to come back to POPH for any reason, at all. I admit there are some staff members that are great nurses and there are some great doctors, but that nurse made me feel like I cannot express how much pain I'm in without being made fun of; and basically being called a liar. It was unacceptable behavior from someone who is in a practice of caring for individuals, regardless of their own personal opinion. In-fact, it was disgusting. I hope the nurse in question does not receive a patient who is having a heart attack, and mocks them saying "Oh he's not having a heart attack" and suddenly said patient codes and dies because the nurse is uncaring and incompetent. A big thanks to the staff that reached out and apologized for my experience, those are great representatives of the hospital; however to avoid being under care of the nurse in question, I will not be returning.

This hospital used to be the best in the area. Sadly, my experiences with them over the past year have been significantly under par. I would recommend using a different hospital if you have the option.

Very caring staff, everyone has a good attitude and always doing their best to help patients and family. From hosekeeping - specially Peaches on 3rd floor, to doctors and nursing managers, (Julie, Kevin, Fallon, Sara, Dani, Catherine, Tasha, among others I can't remember at this time) there are no complaints, they are always trying to accommodate and serve patients and their families with their needs and requests with a big smile. Everyone seem to be happy to be working at this facility. Definitely recommend this hospital.

A family member came to visit from Chicago and fell gravely ill during the visit, a day or 2 from death of a blood infection.
A second family member was checked into Mies countryside into ICU.
It's interesting to compare care between the 2 hospitals.
The level of care provided by palms of Pasadena was top notch, especially the nursing staff and as we all know, the nurses are the people who really are responsible for your recovery.
I want to say thanks to palms of Pasadena for the excellent care given to my family. My family member is recovering nicely.
