||WARNING, THIS IS A GRAPHIC REVIEW, BUT A GOOD REASON AS TO WHY YOU SHOULD AVOID THE COLUMBIA CITY EMERGENCY ROOM|| I've had several experiences at this hospital, but last night's was probably the most uncomfortable I've ever had. First and foremost, this emergency room seems to not know anything about the digestive system or its related organs, as my grandmother had almost died due to a gross overestimation of how long her gallbladder was going to last. She called that night, went to the ER in Fort Wayne, and they said it was rotting and she could have died had she not gone in. That being said, last night I had to come in for an uncomfortable and private problem. The male doctor I had gave me a full pelvic exam, including an exam akin to a pap and a urine test. He seemed to know what he was doing, and was asking me the required, uncomfortable questions that I expected with the situation. By the time the tests came back, he said he couldn't find anything, and then asked me, "What do you think it is? Because I don't know, and you would know better than me because you're a woman." THEN he started asking me about how I cared for my yeast infections, because he didn't know. The doctor, who had his fingers and other tools inside of me didn't know about how to care for what he was looking at. I felt extremely uncomfortable, and as a person with anxiety and past sexual problems, it has officially turned me away from this emergency room unless there's a DIRE emergency. I'll go to the one in Fort Wayne instead. But for the rest of you, don't go here. They barely know what they're doing.

Went for an iovera procedure before I have my knee replacement. I was very nervous, but Dr Brandon Mccarty was great at calming me down with his funny joking.I walked out feeling great.

if you want to be seen and treated by professionals who actually TREAT you....then drive past this hospital and go straight to parkview north! Majority of the staff here are rude and very uncompasionate. we always leave this hospital with no answers and big bills. Nurses are on a power trip and doctors don't seem to really care if their patients get better. Parkview north is completely opposite. Wonderful staff and always get to the root of the problem. We have been to this hospital enough to please trust my advice and just go to ft wayne.

They always take care of my wife really well

Never Ending Cycle

I wouldent even give one star. I was in this so called hospital for two and a half days. Yet I wasent getting any better. My “Doctor” That I will leave unnamed was very rude. The nurse on first shift was very displeasing. I only have One good this to say about this hospital and that is thank god for third shift. The nurses that we’re on third shift we’re so Polite Helped me as much as they could. But that’s the only good thing to say about the “hospital!”
