Let me tell you my wonderful birth story at parkveiw whitley lol well i go into labor an im not progressing very far so they send me home. I was supoosed to be induced the next day at midnight anyways so id just come back the next day. I come back for my induction an im at around 2 cm an they put me on petocin to help speed up my labor. NO ONE CHECKED MY UTERUS FOR 8 HOURS. Not once. I was in terrible pain crying for a epidural. Waited 2 hours for my epidural because the anesthesiologist was " not answering his phone". Yea ok. So the anesthesiologist FINALLY comes in after me waiting for a long enough time ( mind you ive been in labor sense Yesturday). They FINALLY check my uterus after the epidural and im 8 cm. I started pushing 30 minutes later. Let me repeat that 30 MINUTES LATER. I had been begging for a epidural an they gave it to me at the literal last minute cut off that you can have one. The doctor then proceeded to sigh an get frusterated that i wasn't giving birth fast enough. I pushed for 2 hours an everytime his head would creep out but just wasnt there *sigh* you have to push harder *exhasperated exhail*. The only reason im giving them 2 stars is because the nurses themselves were incredibly nice and helpful an hels my hand an explained what was going on. They even let me see my placenta and showed me its parts!
I did end up being in labor for 40 hours!
Room, bed, and bathroom were disgusting. Doctor couldn't even read a clock and barley spoke English. Terrible place.
Would give a zero if I could. Went in for horrible lower back pain. I had a UTI and I thought it spread to my kidneys. My nurse was ready to draw blood and urine sample to make sure the UTI didn't spread to my kidneys but doctor said no and insisted it was only a UTI just by touching my back. I'm crying in pain and answers and not one test was done. Only thing the doctor offered me was a shot of ativan. Something I absolutely did NOT need. Extremely disappointed and still in horrible amounts of pain. Can't wait to go to my family Dr. For real answers. This hospital is a joke.
Very surprised at the comments left by folks that left a '1'. Either they came in with a piss poor attitude, or whatever. This is a first class hospital, clean, friendly, and care giving. Nobody wants to hear about baloney that is untrue. Whitley Parkview, two thumbs up!
Much better than KCH. They treated me like I was important and listened to all my concerns.
