I was visiting from out of town on another state insurance that only covered ER visits out of state. I hate clogging up emergency rooms with trivial things, but I had no choice, my 3 year old was screaming in pain from a terrible UTI. All the staff were so great. I apologized profusely for taking up their time and they were just so sweet about it. I wish I had gotten all of their names! We were in the waiting room for about 15 minutes and then they brought us back to a kids waiting area (a bit dirty but it was better than the main waiting room) and gave her a popsicle to help her go to the bathroom for a sample. They were very helpful in the front end of the ER department.
The nurses once we got back we're nice, but short staffed it seemed. We ended up waiting for nearly 3 hours for just a urine sample and prescription only for the lab to call me 2 days later to tell me the prescription that I just bought (out of pocket) would not help her UTI because of the strain it was so I needed to buy another one. That along with the wait was very frustrating.
Parking is terrible. Don't expect to get one of the 15 spots out in front of the ER, we had to park pretty far away in a parking garage which was inconvenient with a young child in pain in 90 degree weather.
Emergency RA staff Amanda has really bad attitude and no sympathy for patient. If it wasn't the nearest emergency hospital we wouldn't have chosen this hospital ! Legacy at Salmon Creek is definitely the better choice, best customer service !
Took my mom here earlier today and we ended up leaving to go elsewhere. Having a 3 hour wait time is completely unacceptable for an emergency room. Grossly understaffed. You’re better off going elsewhere.
I've been to this ER a few times over the years and it's always a terrible, regretful experience. Let me add, I have also been to Legacy's ER in Salmon Creek and had great service. Peacehealth also has a location North of Seattle I've been to and received equally bad service. Moral of the story, stay away from Peacehealth, they clearly have poor management and doctors.
Note: I've had some really nice nurses at Peacehealth, so I'm pinning the failure on management and doctors.
My daughter was treated well by the medical staff and er doctors. I especially appreciated the 2 male nurses who were caring and friendly. I thought the staff was great, even the security officers were helpful and friendly ( 2 African American gentleman). On a frightening day, the staff helped us through it; all I can say is thank you.
