My long time doctor here retired 3 years ago. He was wonderful. Since then I have tried unsuccessfully to see a male doctor for a physical for the past two years, but none of the doctors are taking new patients. Terribly frustrating. So now I drive close to an hour to another town to see a family medicine doctor rather than a few minutes to the medical facility in my home town of Perham (which I was taxed for financing the construction of). Thank you Sanford.

I just left the ER. The nurse and DR. Who tended to me during my visit were talking behind my back while I was in the restroom making fun of my face and my acne. I can't help it because I was born this way and can't find anyway to fix it. I heard both of them and also my girlfriend heard them. Also after my girlfriend left to get the car ready the same nurse asked me in a snobby way if that girl was my girlfriend. I will never come here ever again. Thanks Perham.

Unfortunately can't ever say i've been satisfied coming here. Only due so when I absolutely HAVE to. I doctor primarily with Lakewood Health Systems (typically in Staples). Had yet another super disappointing visit today which drew me to come and try to save someone elses time - go else where if you're looking for medical answers!

If I could give negative stars I would, perham chop shop should be the name, terrible bed side manner from the doctors. I went in to the ER and was misdiagnosed and given unnecessary medication. I went to my regular doctor at a Different hospital 3 days later and they were baffled at what happened. Do not go to this hospital if you can help it!

Very disappointed in quality of care. Three months ago I switched to perham health because it was convenient for work. The only physician was available to take new patients we will call “southern doc” from here on out. I went into the appointment with an open mind even though I had heard mixed reviews about him. I am a type 2 diabetic and really would have preferred an endocrinologist, but the big hospitals in the area often don’t even have one on staff. So, that being said I settled for the appointment I could get. I asked about some additional medications and was told he would do some research and get back to me. I just had a second appointment with the southern doc today and he still had not gotten back to me. So today he suggested that I go on a drug to help my a1c I told him I was not interested in that certain drug because of the side effects and long term ramifications. I told him I had done research on another type of injection that had good reviews and a good outcome with those I had spoken to. He completely ingnored me and went on a rant and rave about how I wasn’t willing to try his suggestion so he was going to send me to an educator who was in his mind “ top of the line” and he would take recommendations from her. He was very abrupt and dismissive. I feel that treatment from a doctor should be a discussion not a lecture. I told him have a great day and that will be the last time I will step in perham health. You can take my review for what it is worth but if you decide to choose this location as your care facility I would steer clear of the “southern doc “.
