They treated me well. They explained my situation and the made sure I was treated correctly !

If only I could give zero stars.... IF YOU ARE THINKING ABOUT COMING HERE ..DONT!! they are the absolute worst. If you care anything about your health/life don’t come to this hospital. You will regret it. They seem to have no knowledge about health I don’t know who hired these people. You’re better off going anywhere else!

Broke my lumbar and they made me sit in waiting room for close to an hour. I begged them to give me a place to lay down but they refused to help me. I was in so much pain and only wanted to lay down until they called me back but that never happened. After an hour of waiting and pacing while trying to keep my mind off the pain, they finally brought me back and assessed my situation and took x-rays to tell me I fractured my lumbar. They gave me a shot, prescribed me medication for the pain and sent me off. Just got my [RIDICULOUS] bill for the awful visit. So, I crash my truck because of a deer, break my lumbar and now I don't even own a vehicle and they're wanting half my year's salary for the horrible visit. I really despise the health system in America. EDIT: I forgot to mention another awful visit that happened before the aforementioned visit. I had a terrible stomach ache, a bug like no other, where even sitting down was painful quite similar to breaking my lumbar.. Well, I was too sick to function. When they called me back, they administered medication to me and out of nowhere I had no time to react, I vomited all over the floor. I felt so bad about it but I really couldn't help it. I stayed in the bathroom afterwards until I knew I wouldn't puke again. Well, the nurse that was outside of my room was extremely rude. She was not happy that I puked. She was very passive aggressive and didn't show me any empathy for my situation. I went to school for Medical Administrative Assistant and Phlebotomy and let me tell you, the first chapter of the book I had to read for MAA covered how important showing empathy to all patients is. It's a hospital so people are going to come here no matter how poorly reviewed this hospital is. I can say though that once I move up north I'll be glad to be away from all of Phoebe hospitals.

So, it’s currently 7:40pm beginning this story. Around five months ago my spleen started to get inflamed. It went away after a few weeks but then it flared up again today. I’m talking excruciating pain. We arrived at the ER at 3:00 pm. The only activity we’ve had with a nurse is my vital checking. I’m still in pain with no idea of what’s wrong with me. I could have a slight enternal bleed, my spleen could be about to burst, no idea. I never want to come back to this place again. They don’t even deserve a one star rating. I’m only a teenager btw.

The competency at this hospital is very limited. My husband’s grandfather was at this facility after he fell in his wheelchair on Wednesday. They did not one, but TWO CT scans of his cervical spine and stated they consulted with a neurosurgeon and said he did not have a fracture. The physician on his service also had NO CLUE what was going on and was guessing at possible diagnoses. He was eventually transferred to Augusta (the hospital said there was no facilities closer with availabilities). My husband’s grandfather DOES have a fracture in his neck and will undergo surgery after being medically cleared. I am 100% sure that if his grandfather would have stayed at this facility, he would not be here with us today. This facility needs to be looked into by Joint Commission due to the complete lack of competency.
