Very unprofessional facility, I needed help for severe pain so I could get my MRI scan, they were arguing with other staff members to do there jobs. I have goog insurance, and there is no reason why they couldn't help me. I felt like I was a nobody. Luckily I got through my MRI test after talking three breaks to get scan done. This all happened on May 20, 2019 at 3:15 PM. I got a copy of a CD for image, and today my chiropractor told me I had a herniated disc in my neck. I'm still in severe pain, I'm going to go to St. Louis. People please think about another hospital.

By far the most friendly staff of any hospital , the nurses on med floor are amazing , they Definately go out of there way to treat you like family ...

On Sunday 12/23/18 we took my mother in-law to the ER. We thought she was having a stroke. She was sent home less than two hours from being checked in. We were told there was nothing wrong with her that she was just dehydrated. My mother in-law has a medical history of brain aneurysm and previous stroke. SO this isn't our first time dealing with the symptoms she was showing. We know we have to act fast. When we questioned why they were not contacting SLU and or a neurologist they just said "why would they" well according to the hospital website this hospital is a "Emergent Stroke Ready Hospital" and "When it comes to treating a stroke, time is crucial. Each second a patient waits to be treated, the brain is denied much needed blood and oxygen. Stroke designation for Pinckneyville Community Hospital allows local access to the care needed the very moment the qualifying patient enters the hospital to the time a life-saving medication is administered within the 60-minute treatment window." The website even went on to say they partnered with SLU which is where my mother in-law has had past treatment at. I really think this should be removed from their website and the DR. and nurse need re-evaluated because my mother in-law is now currently admitted in the hospital for guess what....a stroke. So not only did we miss that important 60 min window to get her the medical treatment she needed, we can only ask ourselves the question of "why didn't we just drive to Carbondale in the first place"
