Prairie Lakes Hospital

Went here hoping for appropriate/empathetic care as I am a college student away from home. Staff seemed to not care that I wasn’t feeling well and proceeded to do their paperwork on the computer instead of tending to me. Staff also told me that they could do an influenza test but that it was very expensive and they wouldn’t suggest it since they thought it was just a cold. They provided no care for me and sent me home. They said nothing about hoping I feel better soon.. I’ve had friends tell me that the doctors and nurses just want to get me in and get me out for a pay check.

My elderly mother has been in and out of the hospital several times over the past few years, most times admitted through ER. I can't say enough about the hospital staff. They are kind, competent and willing to help in any way. I am especially thankful for Dr. Kindelspire for listening to my concerns and being willing to work with our family. Additionally, the hospital has the best food I've had in a hospital. You're in very good hands at Prairie Lakes.

Is there a negative option for rating? I was involved in a motorcycle accident not wearing a helmet hit the road with my head going 35mph -40 mph. They didn't seem to be worried about head trauma at all. Basically looked me over out the door. take some aspirin and ibuprofen best of luck.....Had road rash on my face hands arms elbows .....

They’re absolutely amazing had our first baby, Nurse Atlanta, And Nurse Teresa were outstanding so helpful, super nice, made it so easy for us as new parents, and took so much of the stress and worry away! Would highly recommend them for a raise! Will definitely be coming here for any more baby’s or issues we have Thank you so much!

Went to the ER with severe abdominal pain, they did exray and CT scan. Said you're full of poop. Gave me pain meds and sent me home. Back in the ER 8hrs later, still in severe pain. Again they gave pain meds and sent home. 6hrs later went to the Milbank Hospital still in severe pain and vomiting. Dr. There took one look at the CT scan Watertown had done and admitted me with small bowel blockage. We will never go back to the Watertown hospital! We make sure to let any of our family and friends know about the substandard care at the Watertown hospital!!
