Bigoted & discriminatory...
This hospital has intentionally and maliciously refuse proper care based upon their discriminatory practices.... I've lived it first hand, on MORE than 1 occasion...
Allows personal bias to cloud "professional" judgment....
Allows severely ill cancer patients to suffer in agony offering nothing more than a TYLENOL....

I took my husband out of that laughable institution & brought him to NORTHWESTERN... The staff here CANNOT believe the unconscionable 'treatment', (rather, lack thereof) that he received at Mercy, Dr Eshbach and other Drs...

Thankfully, NOW, my husband is being treated for, ascites, embolism, systemic infection & more, all due to the negligent, malicious acts of this hospital & Dr. Eshbach, et al...

He is now receiving humane treatment....
He is finally on a PCA and his pain is manageable & he's comfortable...

Neither Dr. Eshbach nor Mercy have seen the last of ME!

PS:
Their "patient advocate" process is a JOKE!!! I had already filed twice prior to writing this review, but finally, after filing 2 reports with Chris Pike, I just barely received their "findings" last week (5-25-19)....
Again, the whole process is LAUGHABLE, like their bias, racist & prejudicial hospital & staff!!! All they did was send a 4 pg letter DEFENDING each & every one of their unconscionable actions....
So, please, do not think for one minute their "patient advocate" truly advocates for their patients, t should be duly called the "Amita Mercy complaint dept in defense of Amita Mercy"... This is my 3rd complaint with this hospital in 6 yrs and each outcome has been their justifying their bad acts of bad faith.... I'm Done...

If you want proper care and recovery, go just about anywhere else, and youll be better off. Zero communication between nurses and seldom seen doctors, and overnight event turns into 3 , and good luck trying to summon a nurse. The call button is useless. They will get to you sometime in the next 2 hours, despite the fact they claim they want you to stay ahead of the pain. Thats a lie. They seem to enjoy your pain. Well that and decorating the halls with their names. Those arent accolades from former patients. Its probably just them patting themselves on the back.

Sub standard care. Nurses are on there phones and talking about their boyfriend's instead of taking care of patients. Went here after work accident to have stitches removed and take post accident drug test. Should not have to wait 2 hours for the intake process. When asked if I could take my drug test because I had to use the bathroom, I was told by the intake lady that I wasn't special and would have to wait. I then explained that I had to use the bathroom really bad after waiting 2 hours and she said again sir you have to wait. As I sitting here watching them continue their conversation, no one has been taken to the back to be seen in over 45 minutes. Avoid this place at all cost. Not worth the time of day.

The behavior program is stupid af, staff act like they care but really don’t, the psychiatrist will keep you there longer than you should be, they will make you feel worse than what you were feeling before! Don’t recommend this place to anyone!

Took a family member to the ER and later on to have a surgery here. Everyone from the front desk to the nurses and doctors were all great never had a single issue.
