Here is my story. I took my daughter to another urgent care a few days prior to her ER visit last week. Last week at the urgent care clinic . My 3 year old daughter was complaining of ear pain, ear drainage and had a fever. She was in pain. The other dr didn’t not prescribe me anything he just told me “if the symptoms worsen call me and I’ll prescribe something tomorrow” so of course following Drs orders. The next day the pain was worse, he called in the RX ear drops, I started the RX, but a day or two later pain was worsening.
• I took her to the ER in prosser (PMH) over the weekend & they could not see her ear canal because there was too much liquid/ear drainage/ear drops, my daughter suffered but was continuing the RX ear drops, when finally I took her to a dr at her regular pcp’s office and they conducted a test that I had not seen this method & indicated she had a ruptured ear drum & now on oral antibiotics, might have hearing damage or might need to have surgery to repair the damage in the future. I’m deeply saddened and angry that this could have been prevented by both places prior to now. She is finally more comfortable with her new RX. PMH staff was friendly and professional and got us in ASAP. -3 Star
