feedback about Providence Holy Cross Medical Center
My wife took a fertility test here. The process went smooth no complaints thanks to the medical team. We already knew how much it was going to cost and how much had to be paid out of pocket after going back and forth with the insurance company and providence. They charged us the whole amount after the test was done and we paid. Some weeks later we were contacted by a third company claiming we owed them money and providence overcharged us and have charged us the money that they were supposed to charge. Providence denied overcharging and refused to refund(although it was obvious even from the detailed list they took the money that did not belong to them). Our insurance contacted them and they promised to refund in 5-7 business days. So far typical insurance case!!!!!
Here is why they deserve zero stars(I wish i could give it) "DISHONESTY". After about 2 months of not refunding our money, my wife contacted them again and a very rude person on the other end of the line told her not only we owed them the money that was supposed to be refunded, we probably owed them much more since the insurance declined our payment and we were not covered for the test.
Long story short after a brief chat with insurance people they said they had paid providence the whole amount more than 6 months ago and it took a simple call from insurance agents for a providence manager to tell us she will return the money right away but refused to answer why we were told otherwise by their team 10 minutes earlier.
Best case scenario they have lazy, irresponsible people working for them in finance department, worst case they want you to give up and tell you BS to get rid of you. Either way this is really messed up.
The nurses here are terrible. They are careless and ignorant. I over heard them whispering how they don’t care if the patients don’t want help because they’re just there to collect their pay checks. My brothers nurse Jerry accused me of yelling at him when I went to him asking for questions. He was taunting me and being very disrespectful. When I asked another nurse what his name was he was yelling out his name in back of the counter. Very rude and unprofessional. I would never expect such horrible service from a hospital.
Horrible Horrible place. My son has a high fever and they completely ignored that fact and left us waiting there for one hour. The staff are very uncaring and rude. They don't care about your concern as a parent for your child. My son came in with a high fever of 103 and they left us waiting for an hour without even administering my child Tylenol. This is such a disgrace of a hospital. The nurse told me to walk out the door if I did not want to wait any longer. This is the staff at this hospital who claim to reflect the mission of this hospital. Never again will I ever risk my child's life.
amazing trauma team!floor nurses ok. BUT, the case managers amd social workers should be more involved and visible to the family. if you have a loved one being transferred to a facility and they tell you “ this certain facility is the only one that has bed” , don’t give in and don’t be fooled...make sure they did some calls and d make sure the facilities you prefer TRULY has no beds available... paperworks and doctor’s notes.. very difficult to get...
I Hate this hospital because they don't care about both parents being their for his or her kids. They will only allowed one parent inside and both parents should be in title to be there for their child and they don't belive in that. Having room is not the problem because they are going to the same room and why not allow both parents to be there for their child needs and decisions. For this purpose I give this hospital 1 star ...
So here I am thinking that maybe this hospital has change and I figure I give it another chance just because we are local to the hospital, but unfortunately it disappoint me once again where I took my sick child who had a fever of 103 and still waiting in the waiting room for along time without any attention or offer my child some tylenol or motrin for the fever but nothing at all I realized theirs other people with illnesses but I would consider a fever of 103 an emergency that requires attention and yet was ignore for a long time.. I should have gone to another far away hospital to get seen people can die waiting here
