Not wasting my time explaining the situation. Just know these emt's, nurses and doctors (not all but a healthy percentage) joke about your embarassing moments. Complain about the smell of those in dire need. And laughed about a mans death. I'm sick with disgust.

I was rushed to this hospital about 2 weeks ago. I was experiencing a head ache that felt like my head was in a vise and it was closing down on my head. As I lay on the hospital bed screaming, crying, shaking and puking, I remember my husband arguing with the nurse regarding my care. The ER doctor Katrina Godderz never came to see me in the hour I was there, and she was the only dr. on duty. After a CT scan, it was revealed that I was experiencing a Brain Bleed and had to be sent via Life Flight to St.Vincent hospital in Portland, as your facility is unable to a accommodate patients with my condition. It appears as though your "Emergency " room is lacking in sense of urgency and the ability to prioritize it's patients that need immediate attention. It is a bit unnerving that my husband had to cause a scene in the ER, and talk to Joe (the head of the hospital) in order to get the attention I required. Please follow up with your staff, as this type of behavior is unacceptable . Thank you!

One nurse was good, the rest was terrible. How hospitals are supposed to be. What’s wrong with me? Fix that. Ok now that is all fixed let me lecture you on how to avoid this again. This hospital is the opposite and it takes ages.

So yesterday I left work early cause I just really was not feeling well. I went home tried laying down and could not get comfortable after a while the pain got so bad that I was in tears. For those that know me today and those that knew me back in the day it takes alot to make me cry so that's when I knew I better go to the ER. I checked in with the ER at 1:20pm by 6:00pm i was alread in the recovery room. Apparently i had appendices and my appendix needed to come out. So I would like to give all the staff at the ER and the surgical team of Seaside Providence hospital a big shout out of how awesome they are. They made it so comfortable even after learning about my fear of surgery they helped me through it and were amazing. As well as quick and very efficient. Thank you to everyone that played a part in my well bieng from the admins checking me in to surgeon who did the operation to the nurse who wheeled me out the door once i was discharged. I have had a few surgeries in my time hence my fear and the team work that they had going on in there was the best I have ever wittnessed. Very caring very respectful and just the best staff I have ever seen in any hospital again thank you so very much for helping me in my time of need and giving me the best support one could ever ask for. You have given me my faith back as well as respect to those in this field. My last experience of being at a hosptial (not Providence, no name necessary) and having surgery was such a bad experience that one kind and awesome nurse who wittnessed what took place had filed a complaint against the Dr. on my behalf. I had been traumatized by it up until yesterday. The staff of Seaside Providence have no idea how much they truly helped me in more ways then one they took my appendix as well as the trauma that no longer lives inside me. Thank you so very much. Much love and respect to the entire staff.

I spent 2 nights at PSH and could not have been treated better. My nurses, Lori, Megan and Tuula were wonderful as were the nurse assistants. Dr. Kyle Walker was also calming and patient in explaining everything. We are so blessed to have this health facility in our small town. I am very thankful. Kathryn Pedegana
