My 90 year old mother was recently admitted to the hospital at Helen Keller! Her primary care physician is good, however, I would not rate the hospital staff a 0 if possible. My mother is a retired nurse and they left her days without bathing her. She told me she asked for a bath & the staff told her they would give her one & never showed back up. I’m retired law enforcement & questioned a nurse & she informed me the girl that told my mom she would give her a bath wrote down that my mother refused. My mom heard it & told the nurse, “No I did not refuse!” I spoke with another nurse and she informed me that she was not surprised. I videoed my mother with her hair dirty & matted. I was furious & they finally gave her one after I complained & she seemed much better & happier. Then a few days later she was released & when I picked her up her hair was not washed & she again had not been bathed properly. It is pathetic & a disgrace that our elderly get neglected this way. I will NEVER use Helen Keller Hospital again. If you have a loved one go somewhere else if you are wise!

I don't normally leave reviews, but I am so fed up with this place. The billing office is a joke!! I have been trying for almost a year to clear up bills that should have been billed to my insurance company, but never made it to them, nor did they get sent to me. I only found out about them because they went to collections and showed up on my credit report. When you call the billing department no one answers and if you leave a message no one will call you back....I've called no less than 20 times....and nothing!!

Probably saved my foot if not my life. Took immediate action, admitted me and had surgery the next day. Kept me 5 days and treated my pain and wound very well. Treated me like I mattered.

Better than ECM, but barely. Most of the staff is rude and they are extremely unorganized. At least act like you care about your patients. If you have a loved one here, please stay with them or they will not be cared for properly.
