Went here in September. My employer has a contract with Performance Health, a company that covers emergency room copays at Commonwealth Health hospitals (Regional and Moses Taylor). The Performance Health Card was provided at the time of service, but the incompetent staff at the hospital ignored it and submitted a regular claim to my insurance.

I later get a bill for my copay in the mail. I contact the number on the bill, where I am placed on hold for 10 minutes only to be hung up on. I call again with same results. 30 minutes later, I finally speak with someone who tells me I need to take care of the issue at the hospital. I subsequently went to the hospital and was told that they did not have this Performance Health Card on file. Big surprise! They took my card and rescanned it and told me not to worry about the bill.

A month later, I get another bill. I first call the number on my Performance Health Card and am told by the rep that they never received a claim from the hospital to cover the copay. The rep told me to call the hospital and give them the address for Performance Health to submit the bill to them.

I called the hospital only to be told they can't help. I was given the number for Commonwealth Health. I called and was on hold for 10 minutes. The Commonwealth Health rep told me that the claim was submitted to my regular insurance and no information for the other card was on file. I explained everything to the rep, who was not interested and did not at all care. I put her on a conference call with the rep from Performance Health. After some time, the conclusion that I was given is that because the hospital submitted the claim to my regular insurance and not to Performance Health, Performance Health would not cover the copay balance of my visit.

Due to absolute malfeasance by the poorly educated and trained staff at Regional Hospital, the incompetence of Commonwealth Health, and the idiocracy of what Performance Health said to me, I am stuck with an emergency room copay that I should not be responsible for. I will NEVER use a Commonwealth Health hospital ever again and my Performance Card has also been cut up and thrown away. I will also notify my employer of this mess and to urge them to void this deal and urge my fellow employees to avoid and Commonwealth Health services in the future.

My father had open heart surgery here and the surgeon was excellent. But as for the nurses they weren't right on point, they were rough, and they were rude. They acted like they could careless!

No one seems to know what is going on here. Doctors misinform patients, create absolute chaos for the families in doing so. Had a condescending nurse to top it off. Only bright spot was the social and case workers. Seeing places like this make me fear getting old.

Father has been in for six days too many doctors to get a straight story of what's going on they mention hospice but never do a formal consultation with family meanwhile my father has not gone to the bathroom in six days and the nurses keep passing it off on a shift change!
