I had emergency surgery and was very new to hospital settings. I gave a LOT of thought before giving this review. The surgeons were professional, human, and kept us informed of what was taking place and why. The nurses I would say as a whole were overwhelmed/worked. After each shift they went over new duties with incoming nurses but once they were left to work on their own there were times my family had to go over medications or other things with them because more than once a medication was canceled but not put in system. Scary they still tried to give it to me. I think the thing that worried me most was the cleanliness. I am not a clean Freak but that being said I had open spine surgery and knew germs were a concern. After three + days of trash bends over flowing, my husband cleaning toilets and my daughter not being able to find me a clean gown - which all were told to staff and visible- We had a 70+ maintenance lady come in and do her best to clean my room. I felt so bad for her. After this, as staff came in it was stated that family was there 24 hours -my son was taking care of me at night - and all of a sudden trash binds were emptied and people came in daily to ask how service was. I kept thinking how blessed I am but also how sad that this is where we are.

About 3.5 weeks ago I was taken to the Children’s Psychiatric Facility (adolescent unit). I couldn’t thank the staff over there enough. They made me feel safe, cared for, and actually worth something. For day nurses, Latrice was my absolute favorite. She made me feel like I could get through anything and everything. For the night nurses, Tucker and Matt were such an incredible duo. I couldn’t thank them enough for what they did for me. The therapists over in the adolescent unit were incredible. A big thank you to Melissa. She is everything you could ever ask for in a therapist. Always made me feel calm and consoled me when I wasn’t discharged when I wanted to be. From the bottom of my heart, thank you all.

Excellent hospital for low- intervention, natural childbirth. The nurses are very supportive, and the certified nurse midwives that deliver at the hospital are amazing. They made me feel very empowered and safe during my labor. The big, jetted tubs in the delivery rooms make labor easy and comfortable. The nurses are very supportive of breastfeeding and skin to skin contact with your newborn. Birthing at Research Medical Center is beautiful!

Had a baby via c section on 8/29. The anesthesiologist listened to all of my concerns from previous experiences and made a plan specifically for me! All of my nurses were so wonderful and took amazing care of me and baby! They were so kind and helpful!

I was very worried when I went in. I lost my health insurance a few months ago and although I was not feeling well, I was more afraid of amassing a huge medical bill. Everyone was attentive and kind and took care of me even though I explained I couldn't pay the full amount. They treated me with respect and took time to listen to me and plan the right medical tests to determine my issue. Thank you!
