I wonder why the State hasn't shut the doors on this place already. It's 2019 and this place lacks all the lastest technology that a hospital has to offer. I guess little state and small town don't care much about the people. Hopefully the new hospital that's in the making will be much more pleasing to the eye and to the people.

Worst place ever. My great grandma was told she has kidney failure. She is getting better but on the front door they put "Grumpy One I Know". If you want to go here you might regret going their.

Horrible staff in the emergency room the doctor diagnosed me while I was still giving the receptionist my information vital signs and everything we taken in the same spot was the receptionist. Two employees were laughing about the woman loudly and rudely telling a patient in the room next to me that had used the bathroom on himself to wash under his balls. HIPPA VIOLATIONS ARE BEING USED. A PATIENTS RIGHTS SHOULD NOT BE KNOWN BY EVERY patient that is waiting in a room.

I think it is dangerous to have a hospital like this that people trust they will be taken care of there......if people knew they would need to go further for care they would not wait until they were critical to get care. My brother has leukemia and an emergency doctor (I use the term loosely ) refused him care......his white blood count was extremely low, had a fever (chemo patients are given a card to give to medical personnel so they understand a fever can be life threatening to someone with almost no immune system and antibiotics should be given asap ) the doctor was offended and refused to give him any meds. My brother's platelets were completely gone.....he had like 2000 platelets (clots your blood) and 5000 is considered very dangerously low......slightest bump could cause brain bleed.......he waited over 13 hours before they put him in an,ambulance o go to Shreveport which is a 3 hour ride!! The hospital staff there where are horrified of the treatment that my brother received it was a miracle he did not die!!! Unforgivable I truly don't know how that doctor keep his job and Riverland should be aware of the shoddy treatment their patients are receiving.if it was up to me I would pull the doctors medical license at the very least Riverland should not hire Doctor that do not know how to administer antibiotics to a chemo patient whose life actually depends on it!
