I have been to the ER several times for asthma related issues. The ER staff and radiology staff have always been very professional and kind. I was hospitalized for DVT in my leg and pulmonary embolisms that they caught when I went in for what I thought was asthma related. They kept me overnight and then sent me via ambulance to St. Luke's on Wornall Road. Since I am on blood thinners I go in every 7 - 10 days for a blood draw. I have nothing but praise for the gentleman who usually checks me in and the two phlebotomist that I see. The CT scan technician and the ultrasound lady are equally as fabulous. Nothing but praise from my experiences. I thank God for the local hospital that keeps me from having to go to "the city".

Their billing is crazy and confusing. Their prices are way higher than other hospitals. My colonoscopy cost a fortune. If you have to make payments they send it to their collections so they can charge intrest. Even if you make payments faithfully. I will not go back to their hospital! I'm done paying them never to return.

I went to the emergency room because I have a big lump on the back of my leg along with bruising from the back of my knee up to my groin. I went to find out what was causing it ( I had not bumped it or fallen). I had an ultrasound to check for a blood clot. After the test, I was told I had a bruise (no kidding) but no clot. I was offered pain meds but nothing was done to find out what was causing the lump on the back of my leg. Now both Medicare and my private insurance company gets to pay twice to find out what the problem is. Don't waste your time going to Cushing Emergency room.

I had my son at this hospital. It was a great experience. With it being such a small hospital, it was a very intimate setting. The nurses were always available to help and very pleasant. The lactation consultants were very helpful. The only negative, was the food. The food options were very limited. If I have another baby, I would definitely consider returning to this facility.
