I have been using Saint Luke's Hospital and Medical Network Facility since I have acquired a pulmonary condition this year. I have had the need of the emergency room on a few frightening occasions when I felt I could suddenly no longer breathe. On some visits I was treated and released from the E-R. On my last visit to the E-R I was admitted to ICU, and latter my condition was adjusted to guarded, then again latter to general admission before being released. I have used the laboratory department, Imaging, and physical therapy within the Saint Luke's Health system.
All of the care, support, and services I have received were professional and well delivered. I feel that I have received the best care possible and all my medical needs were met in a caring way. I felt that all the staff, nurses, doctors, and technicians were professional, and respected my feelings, privacy, and my concern of my health. I found all to be caring and concerned for my comfort. I even found some to have very interesting, and some funny (when appropriate) personalities. Even a couple of the Doctors ! I have found that your organization may not be as quick as I would like at times, but, that is likely that others in need of care were ahead of me, or in worse, immediate need greater than mine at that time. I feel comfortable with the care and treatment I have received and also feel that I have received the most up-to-date modern treatment possible. I will continue to use the Saint Luke's Health System and Hospital as my health requires care and I appreciate all those involved with my care to give me the best treatment possible, and with a smile when they can. Thank You all - for all that you do.

Unfortunately, my family and I have needed to go to the hospital Er and as inpatient over the past 20 years.
No matter the reason, we have consistently been treated with courteous concern and service. There have been a few times of wait, but our needs always have been met. With the pressure and different circumstances of each patient, I marvel at the professionalism consistently shown. I am grateful for the special people who have chosen the medical care career. My life has definitely benefited from their choice and gift.

A family member recently had surgery at Saint Luke’s East. The surgeon and nurses met withy family members before surgery, explained everything we could expect and ensured everyone was comfortable and no one had any extra concerns or worries. The surgery started on time and ended within the time frame estimated by the surgical team. The surgeon immediately came and updated the family upon completion and he did not seem rushed or frustrated with amount of questions of the family members. I applaud his ability to explain complex medical terminology in an easy to understand way.

Son broke his arm we waited one and half hours and they still would not tell us how much longer we would need to wait. After calling House supervisor down who was very nice and friendly but unable to help. I will never come back to this hospital. If you can avoid this ER go to Lee's Summit Hospital we got in within 5 min

Absolutely horrible. My 92 year old grandfather with a broken hip and severe wounds from falling sat in their ER waiting room for 3+ hours and was not seen. The nurses on staff had zero compassion for the pain he was in. What a way to treat a veteran needing care! We left and went to another hospital. I absolutely do NOT this recommend this ER as they obviously do not know how to triage and get patients into beds. If you care about your loved ones at all- don’t bring them here.
