I don't understand the negative reviews. I have always been seen right away during my several ER visits. The staff have always been wonderful....from ER doctors and nurses to floor doctors and nurses. The housekeeping and food staff are great. The only con I see is that there are not showers in the patient rooms; the shared shower is always clean, but it would be nice to have a shower in the room. This review is from Odis's wife, Becky.
I would give it zero stars. My kids dad was brought in there because he was dieing of cancer. There was no compassion what so ever from the dr. Or nurse's. With a hardest day of there life this place made it harder. Left him in a soiled bed, he could not talk or move. They took him home where he passed with his family around him. You should be ashamed of how your staff treats people in there darkest moments. It maybe a paycheck to you but its someones loved one to us. Think if it was your family. Word of mouth goes along way.
I wish I could give zero stars. Two years in a row I had a
Mammogram’s done there and they did not fax my primary doctor the results. I called them several times and gave them the fax number but they still did not follow through. During one phone call they said if the Dr is not on “their list” they do not fax results, even though I had the order from my Dr with name and fax. I was even requested to write my Doctor’s name and fax on paperwork they required. So my primary Dr. shows I have not had a mammogram in two years because they did not fax the reports! I will now be going elsewhere in the future.
Employees are very rude. No one listens to what is wrong. Even when they're not busy, it still takes forever to see a doctor. Would much rather take the drive to get better service somewhere else.
E-room visit at 2am and needed to wait ~90min. I likely would have been treated sooner by driving to the nearest Urgent Care. Staff was nice but clearly understaffed (a common theme at Ascension facilities) leading to the wait and staff looking stressed and rushed.
Stitches were OK (a bit tight- noted by my home doc). Bill exceeded expectations.
Paying the bill is a hassle - their automated # doesn't work, and their operator number is disconnected/misrouted.
Edit: Changed from 2 to 3 stars since I was on the fence and they responded quickly below. Staff was really nice, all my complaints are management related.
