feedback about Saint Peter's University Hospital
Saint Peter's university hospital is the best hospital. The nurses and doctors here are really caring. I had a C section delivery, the post delivery care they provide is really awesome. Whenever any nurse or tech or physician comes to check they are really concerned how you are feeling and humbly answers all your questions. Each and every small concern is handle seriously. All the staff talks politely and encourages you which gives lot of emotional support to recover ( which is best needed at this time).
The quality of this local institution has plummeted dramatically. I had a simple lyme infection on my ankle and had a two day stay. I was billed for services and medication not rendered and I was up-coded to a metabolic room. Total bill for two days was $43,000. I guess they have to find money to buy apartments for staff from somewhere. Total fraud and now reported to the various authorities. PS. I tried working with administrative staff to absolutely no avail. I would have posted no star, but this system requires at least one.
Extremely disappointed. Had to take my nephew to the pediatric neurology department and not one single puzzle or block. Nothing to keep these children with disabilities occupied. The secretary was beyond RUDE when asked where things were to occupy these children. The doors are all open every where giving this an opportunity for my nephew to continually run and run. I’m so confused and frustrated at the same time. These are professionals I would think they had more sense then this. And I’m sorry working in a hospital you have to be polite and welcoming not sit at a desk with a bug up your rear end! I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone unless they had some serious changes made.
While I don't have a problem with doctors or nurses. I need my daughter's medical records, I tried to request them online but I was asked to go to the medical records department that's when the problem started the woman who works there is very rude and a liar, she told me that it will be ready for the next day when I asked her around what time I should pick it up, she start acting very rude, that she didn't know, then I asked if maybe if it will best to come 2 days later she told me that she is going to send it to her supervisor and it will take 10 days, like she own it and wanted to punish me for asking a question. I need those records because a doctor needs it so I can make the appointment, and to make the appointment with the CHOP is a long wait, when your kid is sick you don't want to wait that long, I felt like she was holding it hostage that she could do wherever she wanna with my daughters MR. She needs some costumers services practices, treat everyone with respect, no matter who walks in, specially at a hospital. If you go there is because is needed.
Nice emergency room, great staff. My daughter was in the pediatric ER. Her neurologist called ahead and they were ready for her. Only reason it gets 4 stars instead of 5 is because there was a roach in the bathroom of our room in the ER. Other than that, it was good.
